Denon Expands A-Series Range with AVC-A10H 13.4 Channel AV Amplifier
Denon's AVC-A10H AV amplifier is inspired by the flagship A1H and promises unparalleled audio performance for home theatres at a lower price.
The AVC-A10H joins Denon's A-Series and benefits from a new ESS DAC array and an OFC wound transformer. This joins a 13-channel amplifier that delivers 150 watts per channel at 8 ohms (210W at 6 ohms), driving up to 13 speakers and four independent subwoofers.
Crafted at the renowned Shirakawa Audio Works in Japan, the A10H is hand-tuned by the Denon Sound Master, Shinichi Yamauchi, ensuring Denon's "vivid and spacious" sound signature.
The new AV receiver offers seven 8K HDMI inputs and can pass through signals up to 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz, with Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG support. You also get eARC, plus a Moving Magnet phono amongst the usual analogue and digital connections.
Dolby Atmos, DTS: X, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D are all supported, along with Sony 360 Reality Audio in up to 7.4.6 or 9.4.4 configurations. It also comes with Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room correction and is compatible with Dirac Live Room Correction and Bass Control, but you'll need to purchase a license for that.
With HEOS built in, the AVC-A10H can join the multi-room audio fun with other HEOS-enabled devices as well as access all the expected streaming services, including internet radio stations.
The Denon AVC-A10H will be available from November 2024 and will sell in Australia for $7,999 RRP.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
