Estelon Announces X Diamond Signature Edition Loudspeaker
Estonian high-end audio brand Estelon has just announced an incredibly rare loudspeaker limited to just 20 pairs worldwide.
Estelon's new X Diamond Signature Edition builds on the X Diamond Mk II speaker while drawing inspiration from other models from the company's lineup.
A three-way passive speaker with a quoted frequency range of 22 - 60,000 Hz, the X Diamond Signature Edition comes with an 11-inch Accuton ceramic sandwich dome drive woofer, a 7-inch Accuton ceramic membrane midwoofer and a 1-inch Accuton diamond inverted dome tweeter.
The custom-built connectors are derived from the Extreme Mk II model. They have a unique clamp design and are spring-loaded for optimal cable attachment. The manufacturer says that the proprietary connectors are 3D printed from polyamide with no metal parts to avoid compromising sound integrity with metal-to-metal transitions.
Similar to Estelon's flagship models, Forza and Extreme Mk II, the X Diamond Signature Edition features Kubala Sosna internal cabling with OptimiZ technology architecture, which is said to improve transparency in the midrange and highs and provide a larger soundstage.
The loudspeaker's filter scheme and topology have also been updated with Mundorf Ultra resistors and resin-baked coils. The X Diamond Signature Edition comes with Stillpoints Ultra SS V2 isolation feet to ensure consistency across different floor types while improving the soundstage and bass articulation.
Everything comes encased in a black marble-based composite cabinet with striking stainless steel accent details. The power rating is 200W, with a minimal amplifier power of 20W and a nominal impedance of 6 ohms.
Only 20 Estelon Limited Edition X Diamond Signature Edition pairs are available worldwide from July, at a recommended retail price of $179,995 AUD. Just one pair will be landing in Australia.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
