KII AUDIO BXT BASS EXTENSION MODULES NOW AVAILABLE

The highly anticipated Kii Audio BXT bass extension modules for the Kii THREE active loudspeaker system are finally available in Australia.

First announced in 2015, Kii Audio disrupted the loudspeaker industry with its small footprint loudspeaker that is far more than meets the eye.

Each Kii THREE contains six channels of DSP, D/A conversion and N-Core power amplification. According to the company, "the AD/DA circuitry of the THREE's signal processing board is entirely inaudible, a feat not duplicated by the most expensive audiophile standalone units".

The DSP is responsible for keeping the drive units within their safe operating range by gently adapting the filters instead of brutally limiting the signal. This allows the THREE to play significantly louder and cleaner than much bigger traditional designs.

While the Kii THREE achieves so much for its size, many yearned for matching subwoofers for more bass reinforcement. Kii Audio delivered with the announcement of the BXT modules specifically designed to sit beneath the Kii THREE.

While the demand far outstripped the company's ability to supply, the good news is you don't need to wait any longer.

The add-on BXT module replaces the THREE's speaker stands and transforms the compact speaker into a full size and formidable floor standing system, adding an additional 16 woofers mated to 7000w of amplification.

The effect of the BXT expansion module is pronounced and must be heard to be believed. This significant upgrade to the THREE creates a full range system that effortlessly energises even the largest of listening rooms with deep and incredibly fast and accurate bass.

Kii THREE, particularly when combined with BXT, makes for a 21st-century hi-fi system that every audiophile and music lover should experience.

A range of listening events are currently being scheduled around the country, the first of which will be this Saturday 29th June at Sonic Purity Showroom, 30 Bignell Road, Moorabbin, Melbourne between 10am-5pm.

Kii THREE and Kii CONTROL are available for $22,700 RRP, while the newly available Kii BXT sells for $28,000 RRP.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
