Revival Audio Moves to Jay Vee Technologies

France's Revival Audio is a relative newcomer to the myriad of loudspeaker brands on the market but no stranger to loudspeaker design itself. It has announced a new distributor for Australia.

While Revival Audio may have only been born in 2021, Daniel Emonts, one-half of the duo behind the company and the Master Engineer, has been in the industry for over 30 years. Together with Jacky Lee, a Swiss-based Taiwanese, multitalented Strategist Executive who built many successes with Dynaudio, IBM and L'Oréal, the future is sure to be bright for this brand.

Emonts is no stranger to high-end audio. Being an audiophile of more than 40 years, his professional capacity dates back to the turn of the century as an Acoustics Engineer with Altec Lansing, three years with Focal, Chief Design Engineer and Technical Director with Sound Matrix Corp and IT Electronic, and more recently as Chief Acoustic Specialist at Dynaudio.

Emonts was also responsible for significant releases and technology from Dynaudio, including the Heritage Special, Special Forty, Confidence, Contour, and best-in-field tweeter Esotar3, HEXIS tech. He was also responsible for Focal's Grand Utopia EM, Electra S, and Electra Be².

Launching in Australia back in December 2022, Sydney's Audio Marketing, headed by Tim Wallis, has done a stellar job bringing the brand to market in the time they have represented it. But as they say, nothing is forever, and effective immediately, Revival Audio will now be represented in Australia by Melbourne-based distributor Jay Vee Technologies.

John Vandenberghe, director of Jay Vee Technologies:

We're very excited to commence our relationship with Revival Audio but wish to acknowledge the tremendous effort Audio Marketing has put into the brand previously. Our goal is to provide a suite of quality audio solutions, and we're thrilled to work with a speaker manufacturer with such strong experience and history in the space, which happens to fill a void in the product portfolio perfectly.

Revival Audio's range started with retro-styled Atalante 3 bookshelf/stand-mount and Atalante 5 Flagship stand-mount loudspeakers. They have since expanded their range to include the Sprint 3 bookshelf/stand-mount loudspeakers and Sprint 4 narrow baffle floor-standing loudspeakers, as well as the Atalante 4 narrow-baffle floor-standing loudspeaker earlier in 2024. All drivers and crossovers are designed and constructed by Revival, with no "off-the-shelf" components for any of their products, including the more budget-friendly Sprint 3 & 4 loudspeakers.

Jay Vee Technologies says that stock will land shortly and that dealer enquiries are welcome.

See and hear Revival Audio at the 2024 StereoNET Hi-Fi & AV Show, October 11-13, at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park Hotel and Convention Centre. Tickets are on sale now.

He developed an early love of music and playing bass guitar before discovering the studio and the other side of the mixing desk. After a few years writing for audio magazines, Marc saw the future in digital publishing and founded the first version of StereoNET, known at the time as Planet Audio, in 1999.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
