Further Information

Report from Sound Evolutions Brisbane

Brand : Modio
Country of origin unknown suspect China
Condition : appear to be a Prototype (very expensive components)
Electrical Condition (safety check)
passed Earth test .1 ohms from chassis to IEC
Passed an insulation test @ 100Meg ohms Earth to live conductors
The test above is not a certification
Audio test amps after repair both sounded nice
The amps are point to point wired amp, as many of these amps use this technique
There are six Kt88 power tubes all running in Parallel
The amp wiring is nothing like I have seen before
Each KT88 is running at 470 volts DC and I biased each to a low bias current around 45 mA. This is properly to low but safe bias is important not to get tube failure with no information on the amp is available.
The left amp does not put out the same power as the right amp Audibly it’s not noticeable.
The amps sound warm with a nice low end.
There is simply not enough information on these amps to determine There potential
These amps would suit a Tube amp enthusiast.
There is a requirement to have an understanding on power tube bias
The Control bias knob next to each output power tube must not be played with, they are setup for the individual power tube.
Tubes must not be swapped into another position unless the bias is
Recalibrated. These are a complex tube amps with a Stange design.
Selling as untested
