“Aspire” - Based on a preloved Psvane 6SN7, which tested very good and chassis and tranni I’d had for some time this single stage preamp emerged. Add to the parts complement  remote control Alps blue velvet pot, Hammond power tranni and quality Mylar output caps and you have one very nice tube preamp. 

Rectification is by 1A diodes and filtering is quad Pi with 347uf total. The preamp is quiet. The chassis is earthed and fused. Diodes and filter caps are bypassed and the NP cathode bypass caps are also snubbed with 0.1uf polies. Three inputs are selected via two small switches at the front. The remote controls volume or manual volume with the large gold knob. 

The preamp sounds balanced with detailed and warm midrange and bass. I’ve used it with both tube and SS power amps to good effect. Retro looking, compact and easy to use makes this unique looking preamp a pleasure.
