I'm selling this magnificent McIntosh MA2275 Integrated Amplifier on behalf of my elderly uncle who no longer requires it.

It's the first all-tube McIntosh integrated amp.   Here's a review I found from googling: https://www.inner-magazines.com/audiophilia/mcintosh-ma-2275/ 

There were some issues with it which needed addressing when I was appointed to sell it.  I arranged for Australia's McIntosh distributor and service-centre, Synergy Audio-Visual in Melbourne, to repair those issues and refurbish it.  That work was completed late September 2024 at a cost of circa $2500.  Synergy have advised me that the vacuum tube set in the amp still has about 70% of their life left.  It has been returned to fantastic condition (only some marks remain on the control knobs from their use, hence the VG grade I've given it).  I can provide the invoice for all work done by Synergy to the buyer.

I don't have the original box but can pack it for shipping within Australia if buyer pays shipping and shipping insurance.

I've just found out that the amp originally came with a remote but I do not have this.  So in this reposted ad, I reduced the price by a further $200 to account for this.

Given its size and weight, I would prefer a buyer also based in Melbourne.  If a prospective Melbourne-based buyer wishes, I can bring the amp to you to demo in your system.

For Melbourne based folk, I can also arrange a demo of the amp, potentially on speakers the same or similar to a buyer's, if preferred.
