Lost interest in hifi so starting to thin the equipment collection ourFurther Information
I'm retired and bought these to go with my large ATC monitors - I thought l'd be spending lots of time listening to music. It turns out life becomes much busier when you're not working and there's no time, or even interest in expensive hifi. I've decided to thin out my equipment and my subs are first to go.
For sale are a pair of almost new ATC C4 MK2 12 inch subwoofers. These subs are the domestic version of ATC's SCS70 which has been quite a hit in studios across the world.
Mine are mint condition and come with the rugged wooden packaging pallets and books. They are finished in ATC's magnificent satin black. The cabinets, unlike ATC's cheaper range, are made at their factory in Stroud UK, as are the bespoke 300 watt amp packs and newly designed 12 inch bass driver.
The C4 Mk2 has the power and authority to work in a good HT system but where they really shine is working in a two channel system and in particular ATC's own range.
I have two for sale, two subs are always better than one, it's not necessarily double the volume, it's all about working in a room and smoothing out bass response. Research has shown that two subs or more are always the best option, even against one bigger one.
These replaced a pair of JL Fathom F113 subs. They’ll still shake the house almost like the fathoms but what they do best is combine seamlessly with main speakers, and in particular ATC’s own, for a two channel experience that brings beautiful tuneful bottom end that is an extension of what ATC’s already have to offer. The C4 mk2 is the sub that’s offered with the limited edition SCM20A that’s been shown at recent hifi shows and received great reviews.
Over my hifi journey I’ve owned Rythmik, Velodyne, Peerless DIY, Adire Audio DIY, MJ Acoustics, Legend and JL subs, mostly in stereo pairs. These ATC’s, as one would expect, are the best two channel subs I’ve had by a long shot.
ATC recommend at least one with the smaller brigade of bookshelves and two or even more with the larger models.
These are made to order, rarely in stock at dealers.
I'm located in Melbourne and can demo to serious buyers.
I have all packaging and can courier at the buyer’s expense.
