Selling my Nagaoka MP-500 Cartridge - near new < 40 hours use.

I am rotating back to Ortofon, as I’ve come to realise they are a better match with higher output for my Technics SL-1500c TT’s built in preamp, which just doesn’t have enough gain or capacity for adjustments, to do this wonderful cartridge justice.

Purchased new from Groove Central here in Melbourne in August 2024 last year. I’ve played 42 LPs with this cartridge (I keep a count of records played on each of my cartridges), so it’s had < 40 hours use.

In pristine condition and barely run in, this would suit someone looking to buy new at a substantial saving. Nagaoka cartridges have increased in price by 20% in Japan in recent months, so I wouldn't be surprised if retail prices increase here in Australia soon for Nagaoka cartridges, once local supplies run dry, and new stock needs to be purchased in by retailers.
