I’m selling a modified and well regarded Apple TV4K model.
 

There is a good 6 hours of labour and love that went into each one of these modded Apple TVs. 

The most obvious difference is with the audio. The visuals are enhanced with improved black level gradation and colour intensity. 

With the audio, expect to hear low frequency extension that you never knew existed in streaming media. Better spatial separation and overall more clarity and air in the higher registers. If you listen to Apple Music using an Apple TV or you have a high end home cinema and use an Apple TV to stream you box office movies, this is for you. It will enhance your immersive experience and close the gap on physical media. 

This mod was inspired by the Apple TVX concept. That unit will set you back close to 4k AUD. On offer is approximately 1/10th of the price but much closer to the performance considering the price disparity. 

I have two different configurations on offer but will only sell one. Price includes the iFi Power Supply. Purchaser to select the preferred option.

Option A ($500) is the premium model with the ETI XLR connector (best for audio). Good choice if you plan to upgrade the included SMPS to a linear power supply down the track.

Option B ($450) is the original Apple TV X DIY recipe. Great choice if you want superior sound and visuals over the stock Apple TV.

Included with this offer is a low noise, audiophile iFi iPower X 12V switched mode power supply (RRP $169). The low voltage DC connector has been upgraded with a Furutech female XLR connector (RRP $50). This will work out of the box with this modded Apple TV. 

Also included is a short female Neutrik XLR to 2.1mm (Tellurium Copper) DC barrel connector adapter. This can be used with a future LPS that may not have an XLR input but the more common DC barrel connector.

This Apple TV mod was designed to be compatible with the locally built 12V Giesler Linear Power Supply (or any other LPS with XLR inputs). This will further lower the noise and improve performance. Speak to Clay he will sort you out.

 
Please note: This Apple TV4K does NOT connect to Mains Power like a normal Apple TV and requires a suitable 12V DC output from a linear or switch mode power supply (such as the included iFi iPower X supply).
