Further Information

Buffalo Springfield Box Set (4 CDs). Rhino R2 74324 made in USA, HDCD. Played once. Discs & cases are totally Mint condirion, as is the 84pp book. Box is like new except one of the short edges has very slight colour change due to storage. Discs are HDCD but I can't comment on this encoding as my red-book  CD player doesn't identify playback type.

HDCD (High Definition Compatible Digital) 

Decoded HDCD is 44.1MHz x 20 bits rather than the Redbook standard of 44.1 MHz x 16 bits.

Some would therefore call HDCD a high resolution format essentially providing more detailed sound compared to a regular CD, while still being playable on any standard CD player thanks to its backward compatibility feature; to fully experience the HDCD benefits, however, a player with HDCD decoding capabilities is required. 

Looks like a great album!
