NLRFurther Information
I have this Yamaha HTR-6063 in not working condition.
It has been working fine but one day it refused to turn on. I thought may be a blown fuse but not the case. I even checked the main power rail which still have +/- voltage. So would be somewhere in the power control circuits broken.
This is beyond me skill to fix. You can take it to play around.
Alternatively, you may convert it as a 7 channel power amp. I'm pretty sure the power amp section would still work, just need to directly connect the audio in jack to the power amp section. I have done this kind of surgery before on a Marantz amp, good results (and still works). But that was 10 years ago and I have no interest to do it again.
There are electrical safety standards that apply to private sellers (individuals) for both new and second hand equipment that connects to mains power. It is the responsibility of the seller to ensure their product being offered for sale complies with the electrical safety standards applicable to them for the country or state in which they reside.
