Selling a Yamaha A-S2000 2 channel amplifier. Presents in excellent condition with the silver finish and birch side panels. Includes the original RAS-21 remote control.

Rated for 90W/8ohm and 150W/4ohm, the A-S2000 will easily power a broad range of speakers with plenty of reserve power available, supported by 4x 22,000uF capacitors in the power circuit. Runs relatively cool due to the large internal heatsinks.

The unit weighs in at 22.7kg; a reflection of the excellent build quality, both internally and externally, in alignment with the robust nature of higher-end Yamaha products. A thick metal fascia with all metal controls, a 1/4" headphone output with trim adjustment, a relay-switched speaker output selector, an MM/MC phono cartridge switch, and a -20dB mute attenuator for the motorised volume control.

At the rear exists an abundance of inputs, with three RCA inputs (one with a recording output), an XLR input (albeit limited to 2.8V; perfect for an RME ADI2 or DACs with adjustable or lower output voltage), a phono input and ground connection, and Pre-Out/Main In connections to use the A-S2000 as a preamplifier or power amplifier if desired.

Overall, the amplifier provides authoritative bass and a smooth midrange with detailed treble. The phono stage is transparent and inaudible, proving to be an excellent solution for record playback using a wide range of cartridges.
