I am selling my Audio Research VSI75 integrated amplifier, currently retailing for $16,995. I am the original owner, having purchased it from Carlton Audio Visual in 2018, and I can provide the receipt as proof of purchase.

This is the KT150 version, and it is still running on the original tubes with 2,514 hours of use. According to Audio Research, the KT150 tubes have a lifespan of 3,000 hours (compared to 2,000 hours for KT120). Additionally, I am including a new matched quad set of KT150 tubes, purchased from Evatco late last year, which I had planned to install but have now decided to switch to a solid-state amplifier instead.

The amplifier is in perfect condition, like new, and has been kept in a smoke-free, pet-free environment. It delivers excellent current and control, capable of driving almost any speakers. I have personally used it with 88dB tower speakers with no issues—at just step 30 out of 103, it produced 85dB in a medium-sized room.

In terms of sound, this amplifier embodies the classic Audio Research house sound. I have compared it with the Reference 250SE monoblocks paired with a Ref 6SE preamp, and the VSI75 achieves 85-90% of their performance. While the higher-end setup offers better bass control and a deeper soundstage, the top-end detail and overall performance of the VSI75 are remarkably close.
