Mark Levison No. 27 Dual Mono stereo amplifier, recapped and in pristine condition.
The amp was professionally recapped and serviced in 2019, receipts available for the buyer. Its had only moderate use since as I have several other amplifiers.
Happy to demo and also help with delivery to within 1~2hrs drive from post code 3660, for a small fuel fee. Sorry I do not have the original box so prefer not to ship.
The condition of this amp is spectacular. There is no sign of overheating where fading has occurred on the heat sinks and or panels. The face plate is in perfect condition as is the rear. I have the original Carmac RCA adaptors and custom XLR jumpers as required when running single ended interconnects, though I prefer using balanced interconnects.
The 27 was manufactured and advertised as a 100W @ 8 ohm amp, however all professional output tests have shown it easily doubles down from around 140W @ 8 ohm.
This in my book is one of Mark Levinsons finest amps ever made. Its a true dual mono amplifier that uses individual transformers and regulation for each channel, the design is fully balanced. Its sonic presentation is the sweetest I've heard yet it has balls that rise to the occasion when tough loads demand, it laughs at 2 ohm loads. It has layers of texture, its soundstage is gob smacking. With 12 o'clock being straight ahead, the stage spreads from 8 through to 4 o'clock and is layered in both distance and height with rock solid imaging. Amplifiers of this calibre deserve to be looked after, hence the custom cover I had made which comes with the amplifier.
It will not disappoint! Put quality in front of this thing and your in heaven. It will be sad to part with.
Thanks for looking.
