Edit: I am trying to spice up the deal by including a pair of 15 inch SB Bianco woofers in “H” frame baffles. They could be dressed up a bit but as I was listening in the shed (often with the lights off) they didn’t get finished. 
 

These supported the bottom end of the Maggie’s and are the only thing I’ve heard that can keep up in terms of speed. If you use a DSP to pull 80hz and below away from the panels and let these do the lowest frequencies you have a world class system the sounds as close to real as I’ve heard.  More than once my friends have said “I can’t believe we are sitting in a shed in Toukley! We could be anywhere in the world.” This system really can transport you places. 

I purchased these 2 years ago from Bill McLean. They had been reconditioned which included replacing the glue holding the wires to the Mylar panels and having new fabric covers installed. The oak timber is in excellent condition and in my opinion is better than what comes on the new models. 
 

They ended my search and I have been extremely happy with the experience they provide. I honestly thought I would keep them forever as it is unlikely I will ever be able to replace them. I did trade them on a pair of new 3.7i only to return them and ask for these back. To my ears and on my equipment these had more energy and excitement that I really like. 
 

So why are they for sale? Well I don’t have the home where I can set them up so have been enjoying them in the shed but my wife won’t join me out there so in order to share music with her I am now listening inside on the bookshelf speakers. 
 

I have considered boxing them up and storing them in case we ever afford a bigger home but things tend to dilapidate in storage and I’d hate to see them destroyed. 
 

hopefully I can find a new custodian of these beautiful vintage Maggie’s who will enjoy them as much as I do. 
 

I have the packaging so shipping is possible and I would consider delivery between Sydney and Newcastle and possibly Canberra for the right buyer.

At $5k these spanked the 1.7i at $4k these will smash the .7 and it would be hard to find an audio experience that comes close to these.
