The Ethergen runs hot the Thermo kit just helps control this - This keeps it in it optimal operating zone
The wood mat just lifts it - i never heard an improvement in sound with it but i am sitting on an isolated rack
The network cable on this is matched to the ethergen - i have had 3 times the price cable in the system and they didn;t compete with the afterdark cable
The Afterdark items have a RRP around$700
The LPS and Cable has a RRP of around $300
