YAMAHA B-2 Amplifier Recently serviced

You know what this is and the VFET story, so I'll dispense with the flowery preamble and get to the guts you want.

Lovely condition amp, serviced twice since I bought it (once during the sale, one last year)

Servicing when bought (imported from Japan - Aug 2021)

• The electrolytic capacitors and fixed resistors on the power supply board and drive board were replaced.
• The meter board checked and cleaned.
• The output board and volume board cleaned, dried and the contacts improved.
• The input tantalum capacitors replaced with audio film capacitors.
• The output relay removed and the contacts cleaned and polished.
• Replaced the grease on the output transistor.
• Output, offset, idle adjustment and current all tested to be stable.
• Meter indication adjustments made.
• see photo for parts replaced.

Servicing  in October last year (Rick - coffeemachinist, Northcote, VIC):

• original left meter globe was out, replaced like-for-like.
• the left channel had intermittent sound (loud/quiet).  Cleaned all contacts and restored sound.

Current state:

• plays as loud and strong as ever.
• intermittent channel dropout on a cold start-up, but selecting input using the front panel buttons a few times restores it to perfect operation.
  This is a fairly common quirk of this original front panel switching, I'm told.
  Once warmed up, it sings.
• minor scratches on panelling as shown.
• one scratch on left VU meter at bottom, as shown.
• Price is non-negotiable and for a quick sale.
