I have owned these from new. In fact they were delivered by one of the makers, here in Canberra.

They are very heavy, being made of concrete and no longer practical for one of my age. (I do have their smaller cousins with Coral drivers.)

They feature one Foster 035M190 tweeter, which is still available as NOS, and one Fostex FW202 for which modern replacements are available at quite affordable prices.

If I were to keep them I would look at the cross-overs for a possible upgrade.

They are 'wear resistant' - just redo with Solarguard low sheen as I have!

The grilles have had my attempt at repair but I do not use them so I have not taken this to its highest level

Due to the weight (30kg each) and size, pickup in Canberra is the most viable option

I've heard a pair of these in Melbourne just the once, at an industry member's house. My expectations were low, my level of impressed was high! Have always waited for a pair to popup. Shame I won't be near Canberra any time soon, but GLWTS!

I used to listen to a pair of these at the local record store (in Manuka) in '79 and '80. I hadn't quite got into fancy audio reproduction at that stage - but they were preferable to the headphones in the shop for listening to music. And a match for my Sennheiser HD424s which I had at the time.

 

Probably beyond my ability to lift now...GLWTS!!!
