For Sale Lenehan Audio ML2 Reference (Update) Bookshelf Loudspeakers

For sale are my wonderful sounding pair of rare, solid Tasmanian Oak Lenehan ML2 Reference (Update) stand-mount speakers with accompanying stands.

I bought them from their original owner via SNA a bit over two years ago, and have loved my time with them.

They were made in 2015, and have been continuously housed in pet-free, smoke-free, dedicated listening rooms.

I have changed direction with my system towards valves and open baffle speakers so these need to go to a new home.

This pair is the Reference Update version which included all of the affordable component upgrades trickled down from the ML2Limited and resulted in lowered energy storage from the cabinet upgrades and faster and better damped bass due to larger gauge bass inductors.

This Reference Update pair includes:

• Thicker 10AWG crossover inductors, instead of 12AWG
• 6mm thick internal Steel Plate Lamination, instead of 4mm thick
• Solid 32mm Cast Iron Differential Rod Braces, instead of 25mm Hardwood Dowel
• M4 Custom AllenHead Copper Driver Screws, instead of M4 Brass Screws

The solid billet Tasmanian Oak cabinetry was also quite a bit more expensive than the standard laminated HDF version.

As a consequence each speaker (without stand) weighs 34kg.

The included stands, with spikes, are very stable and solid and weigh 19kg (each).

Included (if desired) are eight IsoAcoustic Iso-Pucks that I found to be beneficial to sound quality when placed between the speaker cabinets and the stands.

The speakers also come with “international ply freight cases" that can house them securely if they need to be moved long distances.

PS. They also come with magnetic grill covers...

The Bunnings 600x400x40mm granite pavers (on 50mm carpet-sliders) are NOT included.

I found it far easier to move the Lenehans around using this system.

Local sale and pickup is much preferred.

They are seriously good speakers that will continue to give their new owner enjoyment for many years to come.
