This Antipodes Audio K30 is a 2021 unit and comes with the embedded HQ Player 4 license worth additional USD $240, and a 2TB Samsung SSD.
The combination of a Server and Player unit in 1 chassis ensures total isolation of the Player unit from the low noise Server, and makes it unique to most servers offered by other makers.
With HQ Player, you can enjoy upsampling to 768 kHz or higher if your DAC supports it. I have used it to great result with the Holo Audio May KTE, and is considered by many to be a great pairing, with the Antipodes K30 doing upsampling duty to the Holo Audio May KTE as NOS mode.
The HQ player upsampling effectively does what the Chord M-Scaler does but at a fraction of the price, and you can try different filters and dithers to get the best profile that suit your setup.
