Further Information: I bought from new and have loved the sound and looked after them over the years. They are wonderful speakers and hopefully someone else can show them some love. I have no idea on price so any reasonable offers will be considered. They are currently in storage so auditioning is difficult but I am open to arranging something if need be. Well the op hasn't given any indication of price. Having a look through eBay the only recent sale was $999. Take out the close to 15% fees and they would have cleared $850. Prior year 60 inches have gone for this too. When someone else put out $500 it didn't seem ridiculous. Based on comments above I get the impression even this is going to be off the mark. Would be nice to know what spool.dust really does want. Whilst no doubt it's in perfect condition, it's out of warranty and still a risk of dying at any time. Mwd for $3k you could grab the brand new oled with warranty and from all accounts better picture and far mor energy efficient.

Hi all My Yamaha RX-2700 no longer powers on. I had it repaired by an authorised Yamaha repairer, it worked twice and then is dead again. Being lazy, and a good chance to upgrade I now own the 3071. Would the old receiver be of any use to anyone (parts, possibly someone could repair if they knew what they are doing)? If anyone wants it, I am located in the Newcastle area. I thought it would be a waste to chuck out.

I agree, in its current form it is unlikely 3D will take off with the need for glasses. However i did read Intel was demoing a 3D display at CES2010 that gave substantially the same effect as 3D panels without the need for glasses. It didnt sound like it was near ready for production, but something like that would get it moving. My XE-1 aint going anywhere. Still watching the HD-DVDs but it makes DVDs look so much better. If nothing else its a fantastic DVD player!

GTA IV Pal Edition for sale $60 posted (in Newcastle)

Hi guys For any Wipeout fans this is highly recommended. My fave of the series was Wipeout 2097 and this feels somewhat similar. I am only a few hours in and loving it. For $28 its a bargain, i would have paid full price for it!

Hi - can speak from experience here - the short story is the USB cable is purely a power source for recharging and not a connection to the computer to use the controller (took me a few hours to work out and alot of googling). You need to PC wireless receiver thingy - well worth it, especially if you dont mind playing the odd emulator (Super mario kart with 360 controllers is awesome)

From memory the 8A is a matte black case, the 80A is a glossy black. I much preferred the 80A (couldnt tell any difference in picture though which is the important thing)

Discs in under two weeks - that would be right on the cutoff. I dont think thats speeding things up at all for you!

Hi Guys Happy DP-P1 owner here and now thinking of maybe getting a H1 for the bedroom (can stream recordings then etc). Whats the rough going price for these at the moment? (I realise not many have probably bought one so might not be much precedence)

How hard is it to box up sets of discs and mail them off though? Even if there is hundreds (or thousands) - surely print the labels, box up the discs, whack on the label and a stamp and mail them. I dont understand how it can take so long. Surely one person could do this in a couple of days? Am i missing something? ANyway I am sure they will show up at some poitn.

Bu some US microsoft points on ebay. I did this about a year ago to get Boom Boom Rocket and it worked fine. The Ebay guy just emailed me the code within about an hour of payment (actually was cheaper than buying points locally)

Has anyone worked out any cool phone numbers to call yet? I saw some on the in game TV ads (one for the stretch limos) but didnt write them down (i didnt realise you could just call any number for a while). Anyway, the only one I have worked out is 911 (pretty obvious) - gives you the option for Police, Paramedics or Fire Truck to come to where you are. Pretty cool I thought! I am sure there are tonnes of hidden numbers to call for a bit of a laugh

Amen to that. SNES version is one of my fave games ever. The time trials were short and sweet. It still holds up well today if you ask me. Ive found a good in between though - download SNES(X (SNES emulator) and the Mario Kart Rom (I'm sure i still have that cartridge around even though the SNES died, so its not illegal) and then use my Xbox 360 controllers with the PC. It works great.

Not sure whether there is any truth to it, but its rumored PS3 version is now censored and customs will be checking imports and taking them (for both systems) as banned items. Hope this isnt true but might be worth investigating if you are shipping from o/s http://forums.mactalk.com.au/28/47514-gta-...s3-360-a-5.html NZ is also getting the same censored version as us. Again havent looked into this too closely, other than what is being reported over at mactalk.
