EXPIRED FS: Teddy Pardo TeddyCap

Further information: I bought the TeddyCAP new direct from Teddy Pardo to use with my Naim CD5x, which is also up for sale. I added the TeddyCAP later as an upgrade to the Naim CD5x and it had made a significant sonic difference. A TeddyCab 5 cable is included in the sale. -

Muddy Waters - Folk Singer MOFI
plato8010 replied to qwerter's topic in Turntables, Record Players & Vinyl
I've compared my Muddy Waters Folk Singer Mofi anadisc to the One Step and have drawn several conclusions. For one both are excellent with some minor differences. Mofi Anadisc 200g 33rpm Very quite vinyl Louder output Very dynamic Great 3D imaging EQ was a tad upward in the mids. Mofi One Step 180g 45rpm Noticeable surface noise Not as loud on output Detailed dynamics as with the Anadisc copy but with slightly more resolution Same 3D imaging ( I swear that I heard a drum band and thought it was coming from outside!) Great EQ the music flowed evenly. Happy with either copy but if you really need to test your purchase of a new component and want to see how far you can distance this two recordings from one another, then do so. -

Further information: In excellent condition with low usage. This amp was well cared for and only used to drive Klipsch La Scala and Klipschorn speakers occasionally. I mainly use a 300b SET 8watt per channel amplifier to drive my speakers, as they are quite efficient, and have decide to sell the MQ-88u. The Luxman MQ-88u is 20W per channel 4 & 8ohm , 25W 6ohm. It has Direct and Indirect inputs available. 230V (50/60Hz). Tubes 2 x ECC83, 2 x ECC82, 4 Luxman x KT88 Will be safely packaged for shipping.

Further information: Naim described this as their "premium entry level" CD player. I bought the CD5x new from Caxton Audio in Brisbane, and have used it for about 2hr a week as I also play Vinyl. I am also selling a Teddy Pardo TeddyCAP which I used with this. I STRONGLY recommend getting both, as the improvement in the performance with a fully external power supply is significant.

I believe you've answered your own question. The answer as to which turntable is a combination of cartridge, tonearm, and turntable matching. I use a DV 17DX with a Dynavector tonearm. The turntable was custom built from a variety of materials and I used VPI parts (platter, bearing, stand alone motor, and speed controller).
