Further Information: Nice little receiver in great condition. While it's getting on it age, it's new enough to have the majority of modern features: ARC - worked perfectly with my LG OLED, I never used the original remote because everything auto switched and volume control worked from the TV remote High def sound decoding - no Atmos but does TrueHD and DTS-HD 4 HDMI ports Network connectivity - ethernet only but works as a DLNA target Everything is working except the headphone port (might be something simple, there is no physical damage). Further information: Pair of KEF T301 Slimline Satellite speakers in reasonable condition. I say reasonable as the previous owner was clearly doing some painting an couldn't be bothered removing them from the wall prior so one speaker has a decent amount of white paint on it, the other fared better and only has a small amount on the top corner. I never tried removing it as you can't see it from the front but it shouldn't be too difficult with the right solvent. These make for a very clean setup when combined with a wall mounted TV and a discreet sub. I don't have the floor stands but they do come with the wall mounting brackets, which given the slim nature of the speakers is the only way you'd want to mount them anyway. Not sure what they are worth given the condition and missing stands so feel free to PM me an offer. Further information: Nice little 5.1 system if space is limited. All speakers in good working condition although the little Gallo badges have fallen off a couple of them. The subwoofer has lost all of its plastic feet, which is an extremely common issue with this model. I've had the spikes sitting directly on some old wine corks however apparently SVS Soundpath feet fit perfectly if you want something a little less ghetto. The sub has some rub marks but overall is in decent condition. Comes with three wall mounts for the satellites (which also have a bit of paint on them...)however I don't have the original o-rings. I've been using some dodgy plastic rings from Bunnings which seem to work fine. I'm flexible on price, so feel free to PM me an offer. Further information: Ordered these from overseas as they are almost impossible to find locally, especially in white. Unfortunately they sent me Dark Grey. Rather than mail them back it's probably going to be easier to sell them locally and have them send me the correct colour. My asking price is effectively saving you shipping costs compared to buying new and you don't have to deal with the risk of international transit. Receipt will be provided and they haven't been registered so warranty will be available to the purchaser. Audyssey is rubbish unless you set your own curve in the app. The default curve is known to result in exactly what you experienced.

It's converting bits into an electrical signal, measurements should be all that matters to you.

Whoops. No need the spend anywhere near that much for reference performance then.

Go up another hundred and you're into Topping E30 territory and there will never be a reason to upgrade except for different inputs/outputs or aesthetics - the DAC problem has been solved.

Anything except phono should be fine. I very much doubt the amp port is the issue though.

It sounds like your AUX cable is damaged. EIther that or the headphone port on your laptop or the AUX-in port on the amp. The cable is the most likely culprit out of those.
