  1. Put your hands up if you ever made a mix tape back in the 80’s/90’s?;)
  2. Considered tubes? I do hear Proac speakers do gel with them. Look at the Fezz Audio range.
  3. I’ve avoided LP’s this time around for that very reason I could not be arsed cocking about getting it to sound “right” My path this time around was a) get the speakers right b) then the amp (integrated for simplicity and power consumption - I like tubes, so having three boxes for the amp is a bit silly) c) go back to the DAC when I’ve got the money, using my current CD player as a transport d) listen to tunes and get on with my life
  4. It’ll happen! About 2 or so months.
  5. Nothing too flash! Chord Screen X speaker cable QED Performance RCA JDS Labs RCA Audioquest Forest optical im not really a cable devotee, I buy what’s well made with good RFI shielding, at reasonable cost. I’d rather put the money into room acoustics.
  6. Ibasso DC04 pro and up. MiniDisc have them.
  7. Bloody phenomenal:) do a little bit of room tuning and upgrade the source by the end of the year:) (probably a Fezz Equinox DAC)
  8. Hey! im seriously contemplating a Saturn MK3. I think it could be the least digital sounding of all the players. And you don’t see too many pop up for sale used, probably a good sign!
  9. No idea! Haven’t picked it up yet! But I know it did sound good when an auditioned it.

Outside Melbourne, and we’ll discuss postage price.

For what they are, a lower cost active speaker - they’re bloody good! Never had an issue with them, bought locally from Scorptec. Only used in a pet, smoke and child free home, never been dropped on the deck from a tip over, lol. I bought these as a stop gap, but ended up keeping them for longer then expected, as it did the job so well. Three years old, and comes with the optional stands, which cost me an extra $300 approx, so the retail for this lot is $1300. No box. Pick up only at this stage! Here’s the specs. https://edifier.com.au/products/edifier-s3000pro-brown-au
  12. I see this is an older post - have you kept them long term, and did you find that it reduced the high frequencies down? I want to use a pair at the first reflection point:)

  15. Hey! I barely use this anymore, so it’s up for sale. About 6 months old, and less then 30 hours of use with receipt. Bought from Officeworks, no box, so you get the computer and the charger. $50 to SNA on sale:)
  16. Wow. No one has bought this yet?!
  17. Hey! This is a new replacement from Optus, so to be transparent, the box and accessories are from the original phone, and the replacement phone was sent out in plain packaging. Which I’m happy to send with the phone. You’ll get the receipt that was sent out with it. Optus does not lock phones to their network, so you’re free to use whatever network you choose. Optus did one blunder, and did not send out a stylus with the phone, fortunately they are cheap online. (Happy to provide links to assist) I’ll also include a Quadlock case and cover.
  18. As New! Bought from A2A about three months ago. You get the DAC, usb cable, receipt but no box, or manual. barely used - probably less then 5 hours, this is the last part of my headphone system - using my Edifiers speakers 100% of the time now.
