I have thoroughly enjoyed these speakers after falling down the rabbit hole of diminishing returns of incremental improvements with components and cables. The best thing is that you just plug these in and after a simple set up with the app, enjoy the music. Unfortunately like Boba Fett after falling into the Sarlacc pit, I have once again joined the component club and the justification of keeping these speakers as a secondary / bedroom system could lead to unfortunate consequences that may result in selling everything. I found that Roon with a NAS works best and have primarily used Tidal, though have just given Quboz a go with pleasing results. The B&W app is also useful and now you can link Amazon music as well. Speakers and stands in mint condition. Great speakers for those who have little ones as grills are integrated into the speaker cabinets. Original boxes for both the speakers and stands and preference would be given for local WA pick up. Pair with the Formation Bass and it's an even more impressive package. Further Information: (from previous post) as I have these sitting dormant in a spare room I would like these to find a new home. With much hesitation, I am listing my ML2+R and MLC+R for sale. I honestly thought that I would have these forever, though given the change of circumstances over the past couple of years and coming to a reality that I am currently in my forever home and very unlikely to ever have a dedicated theatre or listening room I have decided to list these for sale. These things weigh a ton and I no longer have the MDF reinforced boxes that were custom made by Mike to safely ship again. So unfortunately these are up for sale for collection in WA only. I purchased these direct from Mike, after purchasing a pair of his S2 and unfortunately due to freight damage, they were returned and Mike was able to 'look after me' with a new build with the old shape of the ML2's after long conversations and a payment plan, I chose the route of the +R spec to the ML2's. Mike kindly signed in gold pen on the back of the speaker! (see images attached) A year later, I was back in contact with Mike for a matching centre speaker and this completed the front end of a pretty impressive 2 ch / multi channel set up. For provenance I have included a few images below. The ML2+R will be supplied with a pair of Norstone stands filled with lead shot, though I believe that Mike still may be able to supply the dedicated speaker stand.
