Sonus Faber Venere 2 in Gloss Black
Bill125812 replied to Bill125812's topic in Stereo, Home Cinema, Headphones Components
Sold pending payment -
Further information: A beautiful pair of Sonus Faber Venere 2 bookshelf speakers. I have owned these for about a year now. I have really enjoyed the Sonus sound. These are in perfect condition. I cant see a mark on them. I have the original Sonus jumper bars, but i have made up solid silver jumpers which i think adds a little more detail I dong have any boxes so would prefer local pickup, but i can drop them to pack and send if someone interstate really wants them Photos: PLEASE READ If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved You understand that upon successful sale of your item it is expected you pay Seller's Fees. - if you have previously sold items and not made a contribution, your advertisement may not be approved.

FS: Sansui 555A. Integrated Amp As new
Bill125812 replied to Bill125812's topic in Stereo, Home Cinema, Headphones Components
Sold pending payment. Lots of interest. Ty guys -
Further information: I bought this from one of our Sansui experts @BLAH BLAH and I’ve used his description below as he knows this amp intimately. It’s a pristine example of the wonders of this amp. Is as new and as i bought it. The pics are from his ad also. I have the box and packing that he used to send it to mine and will package it very well if sold interstate I paid $800 for it plus postage NOT USED...RELEASING TO GO BACK INTO THE WILD... NLR...240Volt cap coupled black faced Sui goodness with the magical 'loudness' switch! In excellent condition, main caps replaced, no scratchy/noisy controls...no greasy fingerprint marks/stains on black face plate....very pristine. Wooden case is in immaculate condition. Condition is everything with these back faced wood cased Sui Amps. Solid quality build with Aluminium dials/controls...no fancy cheap modern plastic. Still has original protective blue tape on side edges of Amp. Kept in a smoke free environment for the past six years. Provenance...bought over from Sydney from the original owner who had kept it locked away unused for some years before I bought her. Would prefer local pickup to avoid the expense/hassle of double boxing posting and the vagaries of Posting/Courier. https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/sansui/au-555a.shtml https://audio-database.com/SANSUI/amp/au-555a-e.html Photos: PLEASE READ If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved You understand that upon successful sale of your item it is expected you pay Seller's Fees. - if you have previously sold items and not made a contribution, your advertisement may not be approved.

Further information: I have pinched this from the ad when i purchased it a couple of months ago. But i agree with the comments totally. They are bloody good Photos are from that ad to but they are exactly the same and better than my terrible photo skills Shipping is included I have original boxes so shipping wont be an issue Beautiful in appearance and sound, these standmount speakers are renowned for their lush midrange, sweet and detailed treble without edge, with amazing bass weight and extension for the size of the enclosures. Performance is enhanced by being precisely hand-made in Vienna to the finest tolerances, while the beautiful furniture-grade rosewood finish of this pair is a result of the same high standard of craftsmanship, consistent with truly musical high end speakers. Not being difficult to drive, they will sound relaxed with amplifiers of average power and quality, but really start to sing when the quality is raised. Although current RRP in rosewood is $3995, this particular pair would be capable of delighting in a bargain-priced main system, or for a seriously high end buyer would be a great economical choice in a second, more compact system. Speaker cable spades: Does the colour matter?
Bill125812 replied to audiofeline's topic in Power, Cables & Electronics
The best for surface contact is sawtooth bananas. Almost total contact I would still also recommend copper and just clean them ever year. Gold if you don’t want that hassle. Which isn’t really too much hassle to be honest -
Needing some advice

Speaker cable spades: Does the colour matter?
Bill125812 replied to audiofeline's topic in Power, Cables & Electronics
Rhodium is a complete waste of money. It is only about 1/2 as conductive as gold and no were near as good as silver and copper. It’s also all about the bass metal used. Copper would be the best to look for. And also try to get spades that are a fixed by screws or crimping. Try to avoid solder as the best solder is no solder at all. Solder if not done really well can create a bottleneck in conductivity. Mind you i dont think anyone would here the difference unless you have very analytical gear. But if your a purest then copper and screw or crimping fixings -
