Hi Rock, will this DAC convert dolby say from a TV to stereo?

Hi everyone. I would appreciate some advice on a good DAC converter to connect my TV via toslink cable to my amplifier which only has RCA inputs. I tried a budget one from Jaycar but the signal was very ordinary and the volume on the amp had to be turned up well past half which I would never do normally. Also when a live TV broadcast is in Dolby digital,eg the Fire Fight concert it was just a buzzing sound ,no audio at all. Advice would be appreciated. Prospector

Hello, Need some advice on how much ferro fluid to put into the recess of some tweeters. I am getting different opinions from every person l ask. Some say fill it to the top and others say just use a couple of drops and some say fill to 75%. I have just purchased new voice coils and want to make sure l get this correct. Hello Audiophile community, I am looking for advice regarding ferro fluid in tweeters. Do you need to remove every sceric of the old fluid as there didn't seem to be much in the recess to begin with? And how much new fluid needs to be administered into the gap? Do I need to fill it to the top or 75% ,what is the usual amount required? Cheers Prospector

Sick Speakers; Thanks to everyone that replied to my question. More Info;the speakers are definitely not out of phase as it has been connected that way for years. How do I check the tweeters and crossovers,there are two in each enclosure,one dome tweeter and one ribbon tweeter. Also 4 x 6.5 inch drivers in each ,appreciate the help regards Prospector

Hello Audiophiles, I am looking 4 some help with a speaker problem.My speakers ,left and right sound flat,as in the percussion/snare drum and the vocals sound distant like that part of the sound is coming from another room.The bottom end still seems ok.I have tryed switching components,different amp,different speaker cable etc,things don't change.I am mystified that it is both channels that sound tinny and flat,if it was a tweeter I would expect only one channel 2 sound ordinary. Should I consider the crossovers as the possible cause?I am not sure how much they can affect the sound quality. Can anyone help me? thanks Prospector
