  1. It's been used already and there is no warranty already.
  2. Hi there, I have just bought TT Rega RP1, which has been used already. So, finally I have got amplifier to connect everything and check the turntable. When I turned it on its sound is slow and not stable, when I changed its speed via belt it's also slow and not stable. Could anyone tell me what it would be? Best regards, Artemi
  3. It's definitely ponderable argument. I'll consider it I think now more.
  4. Yes, it's a bit higher than I would like to spend, but will try to consider. Unfortuantely none of them I have heard, so I can guess that Ortofon M Blue, Rega Elys and Denon 160 are pretty the same?
  5. Thanks for your advise. I was thinking about Rega Elys 2. Does it fit to RB101 tonearm?
  6. I see, the amp is Marantz PM6004 and Swans Diva 6.2 speakers.
  7. I am not sure about gear, how could I check it? I listen to funk, soul, jazz and blues and the next half is electronic music.
  8. Thanks for the reply. I have Rega Carbon.
  9. Hi everyone, I am going to upgrade my TT cartridge and I can't find anything, which will tell me which cartridges will fit to my tonearm. I have Rega RP1, which has RB101 tonearm. I stopped on Elys 2, but not sure if it fits. If anybody knows, please could you suggest, mu budget up to $200. Cheers, Artemi
  10. No, I don't have such apportinity. But I found it on sale for AUD400 1,5 years old.
  11. I don't need that digital connections, I'll use it only with my turntable. I care about its quality sound. I have heard PM6005, but I have not 6004. I'm very happy how 6005 sounds and if 6004 is the same in terms of analog sound there's no needs to pay more for 6005.
  12. Hi everyone, I am looking for an amplifier and I have faced with the next issue. If there are any difference in sound quality between Marantz PM6004 and PM6005? I am going to use it only with my turntable. Best regards, Artemi
  13. I am looking for an amp no more than $800. This is my first system and I want to start with this budget. I stopped on those two amplifiers. I have heared Marantz's sound, but I have not Rotel's one. So, could anybody tell me about the second one?
  14. Thanks for all your replies. I stopped on Marantz PM6005 or Rotel 12, but if I don't find second hand I'll go with older models. Maybe you recommend some? I spoke yesterday with one friend of mine and he said the same what you explained. So, I'll get an integrated amplifier for the beginning and later I'll definitely buy a power amplifier.
  15. Hi everyone, I'm trying to build my own home audio system and I found it quite difficult. I have got a pair of speakers and turntable Rega RP1. The speakers are Swan Diva 6.2, which as it's said on its label 6 Ohms and 10-200Watts. So, to run it I need to complete all set by buying an amplifier and here I am a bit confused. As I understood and please correct me if I am wrong, the best way to match speakers with an amplifier to avoid burning amplifier I should double power of my speakers, so if they are 200Watts my future amplifier should be about 400Watts or more. If this correct, should I deffinetly get power amplifier or it is still acceptable to buy just integrated amplifier with less output power? As I understood there are 2 basic options. The first one is to build my system in the next way: turntable>integrated amplifier with phono>speakers. The second way is turntable>phono preamplifier>power amplifier>speakers. Also, I would like to find out if an power amplifier affect sound quality or not? If anybody could help me I would be very thankful. Cheers
  16. Hi everyone, I'm writing here in order to ask you for assistance to give me your advise what actually I need to have for building my own home audio system, just for music listening. I have red ready many articles, but I'm still confused. Let me explain in details. I have a pair of speakers from my relatives and turntable Rega RP1. The speakers are Swan Diva 6.2, which 6 Ohms and 10-200W as its said on them. So, I need to think about an amplifier and I have got stuck with this. As I understood I have 2 options. The first one is to build my system in the next way: turntable>integrated amplifier with phono>speakers. In this case I'll have to have quite powerful amplifier to drive 200W speakers (here I'm not sure yet, maybe it's not necessary because it's said in range from10-200W on my speakers) this is my first issue which I don't know. Also as I undesrtood in order to choose correct amplifier ideally to drive my system safely I should time 200W by 2, so it's 400W. I'm not sure that Integrated amplofiers exist with such 400W. The second way is turntable>phono preamplifier>power amplifier>speakers. In this way it looks more reasonable and more expensive. I prefer the first way which is a bit cheaper than the second, but I'm not sure for example if I buy integrated amplifier Marantz PM6005 which only 60 or 80 Watts per channel if there is any possibility to burn it, because it less then 200Watts which on my speakers? Also, I would like to find out if an power amplifier affect sound quality or not? So, I hope it is understandably explained. If anybody could help me I would be very thankful. Cheers
