  1. Ok - here is the thread I started regarding the cards and my antenna situation. My workstation is just dual xeon 1.8G with 1G RDRAM, MX440 video card which I will upgrade when I go to dual monitor setup. Antenna type - no idea, it is on the roof that's all I know. Since we moved into this place the tv in lounge room is connected to optus cable and I used to get free cable tv on my pc via my optusnet via leadtek tv tuner card till optus scrambled the transmisson Distance and terrain to tramsitter - again I've no idea - terrian wise is I suppose there's a hill next a few blocks, no big trees, if that's what you meant. reception quality - not much. the reception is poor for sbs via antenna port in the kitchen, probably bad during rains for all chanel - that I'm not sure 100%. Testing wise - again not much just a few quick connections and that's all about it. I'd be happy to try any suggestions you guys have though. I'm not sure whether I'm hijacking the thread. If it is, pls feel free to post to the thread I started. http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showtopic=13404 ps - I live in condell park btw, if that's help. thanks. pps - what are the chances - should I spend another a few hundreds bucks to get an antenna. If so who do you recommended and what type?
  2. From my unsuccessful testing of nebula card I had similar experience. This afternoon I installed the card in my pc and tested with the antenna from dse - nothing. So I took it to the kitchen and connected to the existing antenna port - after tuning it showed 7/9/SBS and other crap channels. So I though, ok, might try with the dse antenna - after tuning, only got SBS and crap channels. Put the antenna lead back on got nothing . Tried again and just got SBS and other craps
  3. Thanks for the replies ppl : Really appriciated it. Just picked up the card gonna play around this australia day . At the moment I will still be using 1 x monitor as my budget wasn't allowed to get another one, yet. So probably you all will hear either praises or questions Hi Anarchi - do you know the model number or thing like that. I had a look at dse site and most of the indoor as categorised as normal antenna instead of digital ones. thanks
  4. Ok, I've read quiet a few topic before I post here and used search button Here is a few questions for nebula card users - 1) Has anyone of you used network streaming? If so how does that work - the computer with the card retransmit the signal or can you choose any channel from the client computers? Nebula site hasn't got much detail about it 2) What kind of display are you guys using - both monitor and video card? I've already got samsung 171N and gonna get 710N as use it as primary display. Due to that I'm gonna need a new video card which supports dual out. Some ppl says nvidia are better for dual display, but I'd like to what nebula owners are using! Also, I don't play games so any basic cards would be sufficient?? 3) What kind of connection you have for your card? According to nebula site, unless I can see local transmitter, I shouldn't use indoor antenna. But where I live there is only one in the dining area which has got antenna point and no idea whether it work or not as I've got optus cable tv in the lounge room. But this card is for my bedroom which means I probably have to try with indoor first and get some kind of external antenna if that doesn't work. So I just want to know whether it is feasible or not before I jump in the world of digital tv thanks.
