If you want something to do, try some of the stuff on this website. It has a stratagy guide, cheats etc. http://www.cheatcc.com/xbox360/grandthefta...heatscodes.html It lists all the cheats for max weapons, spawn cars etc. There is also a website you can look at in the game at the Internet shop to show you all the stunts etc. I know it says Xbox but it should be the same for PS3. Give it a go and let us know if you have fun.

Epson Tw600 With Sd Or Hd Digital Box
lacehim replied to lacehim's topic in Televisions, Projectors & Screens
Not to sound dumb but I probably will anyway. If I buy a SD STB will I still be able to watch the HD channels that 7 & 10 are promoting to start next year or do I need a HD box to do that? A bloke I spoke to at HN said it would, but I don't trust their knowledge because they only want me to walk out the door with a purchase. My new house is big enough for dedicated media room so I'm hoping to get it set up for watching all the latest shows on my projector. -
Hi, I've recently moved from the bush to the big smoke and would like to buy a digital box for my Epson TW600. It hasn't been worth even looking into before because we only had 2 channels which I would already receive on Austar. The problem I have is should I buy a SD box which are quite cheap (under $100) or will it be worth me buying a HD box which cost significantly more. Will I be able to see the difference in picture quality with a HD box and my 720P projector. I look forward to anyones help.

Seeing as I'm still in the building stage I decided to run all four cables. Component, Composite (Can be a back up if a composite cables plays up), HDMI and S-VHS all finished up in a nice all in one face plate. I personally am using some aging HT components and not all my devices use HDMI. My PS2 only uses component, as does my PVR, and my other DVD player and computer use the HDMI. You just never know if i will need SVHS but for the $40 it's going to cost to run I will just throw it in anyway. FYI guys the starserve system isn't that expensive, probably no more than a top range DVD player, about $1000. I will let you know how I get on once I move in.
-
If your laptop has DVI output you can get an adapter. If it's VGA someone might beable to let you know if you can run componet cables with that?
-
I would probably run HDMI, and if it will fit also run component cable. Depends on how thick your conduit is really.

I just received my Ugly cable. Couldn't find a 10m S-VHS cable on Shelby Acoustics's site so I ordered the Ugly cable on Ebay. On the express post bag is says it's from Shelby Acoustics's! Very Confusing!!!!

I personally bought a DSE one. It performs okay at 576P from my DVD player but it won't transmit a computer signal to the projector or go up an resolutions higher than 576P. I ended up buying a htcustomcables Razor 12m and it has performed much better. Yes it was double the price, but in my opinion I would have been better purchasing this in the first place. The DSE cable is in next weeks garage sale pile!

I won't be as stunning as yours foxtail. I just hope to have a plain rumpus room that transforms into a HT Room when required. I have all the other TVs able to receive DVD signals and foxtel. Should work well. Can't wait to start my "Stay at home dad duties!" Thanks for your help. Just ordered my cables & faceplate from htcustomcables. Their HDMI cable I have has performed really well so I was happy paying more once and knowing that it will work. Only ordered an Ugly SVHS cable off ebay because htcustomcables were about $200 for one! Too much for a fella putting one in just in case! )

Couj, Well the electrician offered me a Cbus system that operates all the lights but at $10,000 it just seemed too much. I would rather get off my bum to turn the light off for such a small townhouse that we are building. In a big house it would really set moods etc. and would be more of a benefit. I would rather spend some extra money on this Starserve system which I have the video only part installed in my current house. Basically you can play DVDs over your exiting coax cable to any TV that tunes into a UHF signal. You can also use the remotes in other rooms! Added to this system I will have 8 data points near the TV points. Can't wait to LAN game with my mates! I'll be in the Multi purpose room playing on my projector mind you!!! The unit I have has run fine for the 2 years I have had it. It's a pretty easy to use system too, you just set it and tune you TVs. Foxtail, Cheers for the info, couldn't remember that htcustomcables fellas site. Got my second Kordz HDMI from him and it's never missed a beat! Better than the DSE one!!!! Just about to order a 10m HDMI & 10m Component & 10m Composite with a faceplate for the wall. With the TW600 I can't imagine using anything else! Even the PS2 looks cracking with a component cable off ebay for $15!

I'm networking the whole house with Clipsal Starserve so that is already done. I think I will ask the electrician to install some sort of ducting. I think I will install HDMI, Component, Composite, and maybe S Video to cover most of my bases. I might even finish it with a nice face plate like the one I saw online. At least if we move later on there won't be cables spilling out the wall!!! I think I will stick with my TW600 if it doesn't get sold with the house. It's been a great projector so far.

Hello everyone! Just got my TW600 fully installed up here in the Isa, and it's great! Now it looks like we are moving! In the build stage, so what cables should I get my electrican to run into the roof space for me???? I though HDMI, Composite and S Video.... Are there any others worth considering? Mainly going to use a computer and DVD Player. I just don't want to send him some cables and then find out that I missed an important one. Lacehim

tab tensioned screens - where?
lacehim replied to pasey25's topic in Televisions, Projectors & Screens
Mine has slight edge curl, but you would have to be damn piccy to be worried about it. I'm happy with mine. For the few hundred dollars I paid for a 92" it keeps the screen up and out of the way of any childrens sticky fingers! The screen material is quite thick and I can't imagine it rippling like some I've seen at the local HN store. -
Anyone Know When The Epson Tw700 Is Coming Out To Oz
lacehim replied to ravenit's topic in Televisions, Projectors & Screens
I bought my TW600 from HN. Could probably have got it online, but being out bush it's probably best just to haggle locally and support them or they won't be there when you need them the most. In the end wasn't all bad because I got discounts when I went back to buy cables and a DVD player. Anyway from I can see the look of the TW700s spec from ausmedia there isn't that much difference. Bit more zoom is probably the most noticable and the case is exactly the same. -

What's the TW700 selling for? I couldn't find a price from the ausmedia site anywhere! -
Epson Tw600 Connecting A Computer To Hdmi
lacehim replied to lacehim's topic in Televisions, Projectors & Screens
I don't really think it's worth returning, I will probably just keep it and bung it in with all my garage sale that I'm having in a few weekends time. It does work, it just doesn't seem to have the cable quality to do what I wanted it to do. As they say, buy cheap buy twice! But we all learn by our mistakes. -

Just a quick update to this. I bought a 12m Kordz Razor from Gregory at htcustomcables and highly recommend this. I had no problem with a 1280x720p image displaying from my computer using the same DVI-HDMI adapter and the DVD player produced a nice clear upscaled 720P image too. Well worth the money. The DSE cable was a waste of money over this distance, and although it work at the most basic level it left a lot to be desired in comparison with a quality $200 Kordz Razor! Thanks to Gregory from htcustomcables (with no thanks for Australia Post for losing the first cable) for all his help! And you guys for pointing me in his direction! -
New Cinimax Screens Suffer From Hot Spotting!?
lacehim replied to Mullins's topic in Televisions, Projectors & Screens
Not sure. Did you buy via ebay? You should have been sent a tax invoice and that has his email on it. either that or try looking for him on ebay. -
What sort of satellite system? I don't know much about satellite at all. I already have Austar via satallite, but that's no help with the other channels. They have digital ABC & SBS, but they are also broadcasted via Austar. What's missing is 7 & Imparja (which is 9 & 10 mixed together). I don't know about anyone else but I'm just getting fed up waiting for digital. It just seems like the remote areas are an after thought, like usual.
-
Just got my component Playstation 2 cable today, which I bought off ebay for $12.99 delivered. What an improvement from composite! I really makes playing the games on the TW600 a pleasure!
-
Found out that they are still awaiting legislative outline for remote area digital broadcasts and it will probably be 12 -24 months before this is done. And it's unlikely that remote area services will include HD content! Great!

I was thinking about putting a VGA in too. You can get a 10m for about $70 from online. Not sure if that length could cause problems. The fella that I got an email from at htcustomcables said it could be my graphics card not having enough power to supply the HDMI cable for that length. He did say that I could return the HDMI cable if it didn't work out. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket and would rather buy two cables and have both options if required. -
New Cinimax Screens Suffer From Hot Spotting!?
lacehim replied to Mullins's topic in Televisions, Projectors & Screens
When I bought my screen during his sale James was very helpful and from what I have read around these forums he has been very helpful with issues and supports his product. I don't have a problem with bright spots but maybe you just got a batch with different screen material? I think he even has a user id on here. cinamax, why not PM with your issue. Let us know how you get on too, it's good to find out if your issue has been resolved or not.
