  1. Hi all, Could someone pls tell me which are the equivalent models of the TH-P50V20A in the USA and UK. Thanks, Steve
  2. Thanks guys, i lost the plot for a moment and forgot about the conversion aspect. Must be the heat! Steve.
  3. Hi all, Have a few imported Blu ray disc players and HD players. Am using step down converters but was wondering if these would be suitable. I need both 2 and three pin models. It would be alot easier re setup. http://www.mittoni.com.au/north-america-us...lug-p-1233.html http://www.mittoni.com.au/advanced_search_...n+north+america Thanks, Steve.
  4. Above item for sale. Melbourne pick up only. I used this cable on my HD and Blu Ray player for lossless audio via my Denon receiver's analogue inputs. Suberb sound quality, highly recommended. 0.5 metres long. http://clink.com.au/audio/6channel.htm $85. Also have a one metre version (different brand) that does exactly the same thing and sounds identical. $50. Perfect for those who have an AVR without HDMI. Thanks all.
  5. Quick question. As the 606 doesn't have a hard power off, will it lose it's settings if I turn it off at the wall. Would do this when away on holiday. Thanks all.
  6. Thanks Lyle, did have a good look and it's pristine. I seem to remember Evan Almighty having a similar problem as discussed here. I think that was down to a faulty disc. Perhaps these batch of "cheapies" are a bit off. Steve.
  7. Any one with this issue. I picked this up cheap from Ezy DVD but no matter how many times I try it, it always freezes up on last chapter. All other chapters are fine. My player is the HD-A1 with latest 2.4 firmware. Looks like a bad disc. Thx all.
  8. Thanks guys, much appreciated.
  9. Can anyone advise re the use of banana plugs with the 606. Nothing in the manual and a lot of conflicting views on other forums. 605 owners can chime in as the binding posts are identical. I use high end speaker cables and would hate to snip off the banana plugs. Apparently you need to "screw out" the little black plugs in the binding posts. Thx Steve.

  11. For what it's worth, I use this one for my HD player to my Denon and it's fantastic. http://www.clink.com.au/audio/6channel.htm Slightly dearer though... Steve
  12. Just thought I would report in for those of you in the same boat. Ended up using some good quality RCA adapters like this from Jaycar: http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?I...=&SUBCATID= Then got myself a good quality 6 channel cable similar to the Vector I had and hooked it all up. After a couple hours of testing various scenes from both Blu ray and HD I can say that the exercise was a great success. No problems with audio at all, no clipping, drops outs, lower volume levels and no discernable difference using the adapters in the receivers 5.1 analogue outs. Beat paying stacks for the Zector switch. So for those of you with two players and only one receiver with 5.1 outs, this is the way to go. The only caveat being is to use good quality audio cables. I think this makes all the difference. Steve
  13. Would this version work with switching analogue audio? I see the back is really for component and I remember a review of the Zektor saying that it also did audio well when some other boxes wouldn't. So bloody confusing at times.
  14. Nah mate, no HDMI on this particular receiver. Both players are from the states and share a step down so can only ever have one plugged in at a time.
  15. Could this be done I wonder? It would be a monster of a cable and expensive too. I spoke to the guys at custom cable about this before Might just still be a guinea pig and try the adapters. I can get access to a good quality 6 channel cable and the adapters are cheap
  16. Thanks for that, any other suggestions. I know the Zektor switch is the ultimate but too pricey. Any other better type of adapter out there? Not sure what you mean by half volume though. Steve.
  17. Just had a thought... What about 6 rca adapters into the back of the receiver. Like this: http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.st...uct/View/P6612 I could then just grab another 6 channel cable and connect both players into the back of the receiver. Would this work?
  18. Thanks mate, looks like what I need. Steve.
  19. Hi all, I have both a HD and Blu ray player that connect to my Denon rec via the 5.1 inputs on the back. This is how I receive TRU HD, PCM etc sound. I use the excellent VECTOR-VI PRO 6 channel audio cable from HT custom cables My problem is that I am always unplugging the 6 cables from the back of one player and connecting to the other when I watch either blu ray or HD. This is a pain as these cables fit very tight and constantly swapping them over is difficult. Any suggestions as to alleviating this issue without losing audio quality? Thx, Steve
  20. You are right, they have re-appeared now as being shipped. Steve
  21. My pending orders have disappeared off the system!! About to ring and find out what has happened. Steve
