All is good. I reconnected all the connections and now it does not go into standby. Thanks

Hi all, Last nigth, i finally finished off connecting up the theatre room (after 16 months building a new place) i have come across a small issue. I have the following components AMP : Pioneer Lx81 AMP Speakers: Jamo 606 series Speakers + SUB Projector: Pana AE4000 PS3 - BD Player When i watch a source from the Ps3 - Blueray or even a divX movie, if i put the volume up to a decent level, the amp goes into stanby. Originally i thought it was the issue with the 10m HDMI cable i have running from the amp to the projector as another forum member had his projector turn off. Your probably thinking this has no relation but i noticed last night that if i were to turn off the PJ, the amp would also automatically turn off ... so i thought during this scenario, there wasnt enough throughput via the hdmi cable and the amp thought that the PJ was off which in turned itself off. I then tried to view non high quality movies but it was the same, as soon as i put the sound up, withing seconds, the amp would go on standby. I then came online and noticed what seems to be the same problem im facing; the lack of power going to the sub causing the amp to go into safe mode? Funny thing is, the other day, i had my ipod (music) plugged into the amp and had it really loud (almost to -5db) and the bass was penetrating .... yet it did not turn off ... I have a second sub .. if i was to somehow connect this .. would this elimate the problem? I have done no callaborations what so ever .. looks so complicated with all the options ... Im sure the amp can out perform the speakers .. Any advice would be mostly appreciated. P.s If you know anyone that can calibarate (live near Coburg), send me a pm and we can work something out.

Panasonic Ae4000 Owners Thread

Hey guys, Hows the PJ's treating you. Still in the process of getting a screen and was hoping i could get feedback from other owners in the size of the screen used. Photos will also be great!! -
You could always use them 3M hangers to hang your screen and cleanly remove it once you have moved out.

or a fastfold? up to 200" http://www.grandviewscreens.com.au/pages/i...s/fastfold.html

Hi all, Looking for the ideal screen for my theatre setup (multi purpose room). I have the Pana AE4000. Room length is 5.6m long, 3.5m wide and 2.5m high. The lumens output for the Pana on the preffered mode is about 430. Using the forumla, using say a 120" sized screen is about 9 lumens which is pretty low. Now to increase this i could either Get a smaller screen, or Use a non preffered dynamic mode, or increase the gain of the screen. Normally, i see people use 1.2 gain ... how cost effective or practical is going up in gain? I could only speculate that the material used on the screen is what determines the gain. Thanks EDIT: I found this artcile and it pretty much answered all my questions. http://www.projectorcentral.com/projector_screens_gain.htm I knew there was going to be one form of trade off ...

There is a difference in between the Wall-E screenshots IMO; i doubt that a camera will make that much of a difference. Scott, the images you posted look pretty ... i dont know how to explain .. its like the old days when VCD cds were all the hype; its got that washed look, where HJ's shots have the colours more well defined; maybe its the that your setup is just too bright. I was orignally going to go for the largest screen possible and now that i have came across this thread, i am REALLY contemplating the size. I can fit a 125inch screen but i may ended up getting a 110 just to make sure. Why dont you position the PJ as if it was a 110 inch screen and see how the colors/brightness look? IF its a big difference, then maybe you could mask the out screen or even remove the side panels, cut the sceen and remount the panels ... Thanks

Panasonic Ae4000 Owners Thread
IDstudios replied to T800's topic in Televisions, Projectors & Screens
Hey all, A review for you guys. Reason why i posted this as it has the differeny modes analysed (breifly) http://www.projectorreviews.com/panasonic/...performance.php According to this, it outputs about 430 lumens on Cinema1 and 930 on Dynamic. You could use these figures to work out your screen size and projector placement for optimal colour depth and placement. I am no expert at this what so ever, so i am not saying that this is the only right way to do this but its extra information that may come in handy; for more information have a read of this thread http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showtop...20&start=20 I too am looking for a screen at the moment aswell. -
PriceUSA's service is pretty good. Carolina is always in touch and a quick email away as she always replies back the same day. Its waiting for places like ProjectorPeople or the other stores that they dont really have control over. Its a gamble that you need to weight up yourself ... maybe wait a few more weeks/months and you may find one locally around the sub $3400. I personally bought a few things overseas so its not much of a worry for myself (Try buying $20,000 cars from Japan! and hoping they will do their part and deliver!) Thanks

Thanks For Future refference, this is the one with the extension http://www.djcity.com.au/products/prj-103-...mount_1458.html

Excellent, i will be going for a hung screen so once its adjusted, i dont think i would need to move it untill one of the my sons throw something at it; "How many times can we makes daddies prized posession move before he walks in" How did you go with Height adjusting it, i cant really tell from the image if we can retrofit a shaft to increase the drop (if needed). Thanks

Thanks for the feedback - looks pretty good for that price - come to think of it, even speaker mounts are more expensive than this. If i were point the projector slightly downwards, would there be enough "hold" for it not to swing back level? Thanks

Hi all, I have a 6.0 long x 3.5 wide x 2.8 high room which will be used as a multifunction room; one purpose of the room will be for movies/music/gaming. During an impulse purchase .. didnt do much research and just went for it (got it for half the price), bought a jamo 606 surround setup; 2 floorstanding, 2 bookshelf, and one 250 watt sub. I also have a sony 150 watt sub. Jamo 606 (Floor standing unit also comes with a sub on the side which i may not use as iv read that it buffles the sound) http://www.qualifi.com.au/index.jsp?referr...p;product=37590 Sony SAW3000B http://www.productreview.com.au/showitem.php?item_id=53871 Would having both these dedicated subs be enough to fill the room or will it struggle and should start looking for a proper sub I have a Pioneer SC-LX81 amp - Setup to be installed in about 2-3 months time (still building the house) Thanks
