I too am now Interested in the Seas CNO Grande. Anyone here build them and your impressions? I can source drivers from Wes components here in Sydney. But this is a closed kit with no.published crossover component values. May try to convince Jantzen Audio to sell me only the crossover kit. Not holding my breath though. Comes with high purity copper speaker jumper wires. Very reluctant sale. Thought I would never part with these. Original retail $6500 only a few years ago. They are quite large, larger than your average standmount speaker with the 8" concentric driver. The DC-8's have a very deep and tight bass and crystal clear but very smooth highs. One highly respected UK magazine was quoted as stating these are up there with the very best standmounts regardless of price after reviewing the DC-8's. I have the HAP S1 and I dont use the internal amp although it sounds epic. I have it hooked up to my external amp only because my floostanders are power hungry. With this setup it sounds breathtaking especially with flac and even more so with dsd files. Mp3 files are also handled better than any other media player out there due to the dsee software engine and I challenge anyone to listen to this and state otherwise. During completely silence in a track I put my ears right against the speakers and there is total silence. No distortion,noise hissing or whatever its supposed to be called by audiophiles. I also used to have the hap z1es and side by side comparison could not distinguish between them. And I do have very high end amp and speakers. That moron on audio science is just that. A moron. He is bashing a product based upon his own internal testing methods which have very little meaning in real world listening.

Any little white specs you seen in photos on the unit and remote is just dust. Only issue is the front screen has a faint white line running horizontally(see photo) but does not affect performance nor the displaying of characters or album art on the screen. This is a common issue with these Sony players including the HAP-Z1ES. The face of the unit features an attractive colour 4.3-inch display, a one-quarter-inch headphone jack and basic navigation and function controls. The rear of the unit features two sets of analog inputs, one set of analog outs, an Ethernet input, optical and coaxial inputs and one USB input. The HAP-S1 features built-in Wi-Fi. Internally, the HAP-S1 features an expandable 500GB hard drive and a 40 watts per channel Class AB amplifier. It will play back just about every file type currently available, including increasingly popular DSD files. In case you decide to load it up with files of lesser quality, such as MP3s, the Sony has a feature it calls DSEE, which stands for Digital Sound Enhancement Engine. I have a pair of definition towers, made of stunning birch plywood and around 8 years old, I have yet to hear anything better to want to replace them, regardless of price. I reckon you would have to spend upwards of $100K to better them. If these are only half as good, they are an absolute bargain.
