  1. Is it through the internet connection? Also, does it include HD shows, or SD only?
  2. Any reason why it wouldn't update itself automatically for everyone? Mine hasn't so will need forced update.
  3. Many thanks for that. Will give it a go.
  4. Guys, I don't have the new software for some reason. How do you do a forced update? Thanks.
  5. Anyone seen the local version of this yet, and if so, any thoughts? Are the the video and audio transfers the US or UK versions (or different again)?
  6. Australian release on 5 May. Great Movie, about time.
  7. I think it's $100 only if bundled. Was told by Optus that standard unbundled iiQHD install is $199.
  8. Found it - thanks for that. Totally different to what I was told on the phone yesterday. I'll have to ring them again armed with this info. Thanks.
  9. Interesting - I was quoted $199 and then $20/month. I couldn't find anything on their website. Are you able to post a link? Thanks.
  10. I'd love to know who you were talking to. I was just quoted (for the same package you mentioned): Platinum $127/mth (Not bundled price - presume take $10 off if bundled) iQHD Box $20.00/mth Multi Room $10.00/mth (standard box) -------------- Total $157/mth Note - this does not include pricing for the HD programming. Optus woman (who seemed very uninformed) had no idea when HD would come out, but said it would cost an additional amount to the above quote - ie the $20/month extra for iQHD box is just for the box, not for any additional content. She tried to tell me to install now, so I'd be "ready" when HD was released - in other words, I'd be paying $20/month for a bigger hard disk. In addition, there would be an install fee of $199 for the HD iQ, and $99 for the standard iQ. They already don't seem very interested.
  11. I currently get Foxtel through Optus TV and want to switch to Foxtel direct so I can get an IQ2. My street is cabled for both Optus and Foxtel. If I switch, would I be able to use the existing plugs/sockets, or would I have to have new holes put into my wall? Many thanks.
  12. Hi all Can anyone tell me if the Sony BDP-S360 is multi-zone/region free for Blu-Ray out of the box? Thanks
  13. Thanks Pistol. The budget's not the issue - I'd be happy to buy the unit here at local prices, but can't find it anywhere. It has features I like (small speakers and AV receiver integrated into sub-woofer) that I can't seem to find in any HTIBs available in Aust (unless I'm missing something).
  14. Looking at a Sony HT-IS100 (the one with the golf ball speakers). Discontinued in Aust but still available from Amazon for a very low price.
  15. I'm thinking of ordering a home theatre in a box from Amazon US (delivery to my cousin who lives there and then he sends to Aust), but its power rating is 120V. Would I be able to use it in Aust at 240V or would it blow up? If it can't be used, can it be converted to 240V?
