What I have found is by tilting them back slightly to fire up at roughly 5-7 degrees, and toed in, they generate a truly holographic imaging. Voices just hang in mid air and each instrument is naturally and precisely placed. They’re beautifully voiced too. Their bass while not as deep as larger floorstanders or multi bass drivers designs, what being produced here is tuneful and fast. I’ll include those pictured solid aluminium floor protectors, the front and back have different heights to aid the tilting. They look and sound great with this recommended positioning.

Another item I’m selling for my mate. He’s going for something larger so this is to go. Small stand mount speakers but is definitely not sounding small in anyway. It has a mature, natural and rich vocal tone and extended bass weight well beyond the driver size would suggest and typical detailed highs you would expect from B&W. Both in great condition. One side’s tweeter was slightly pushed in by tiny finger but was gently pulled out, looks very presentable. This is aesthetic only and does not affect the sound in any way. The other side is perfect (not pictured). Pick up is preferred but happy to pack well and post interstate

Nice little tube preamplifier from Cary Audio, SLP 50B Has a pair of low hours, Russian Electro Harmonix 6922 tubes installed. Cosmetically great condition. Remote controllable but I don’t have the remote. I remember my old Krell KRC’s remote works with its volume control perfectly but the amp was sold. It has sweet, nice warm tubey sound but does not sacrifice high resolution details. When on, you might hear a low level hum through speakers but you need to put your ears close to the speaker to really hear it. I suspect this is due to the old capacitors inside. There are only a few, point to point soldered Axial type. Seems just quick and simple to replace but I don’t have time to take it for a check. I have more than enough preamps so here it goes to someone who knows what he/she is doing. The unit itself is dead quiet, no noise from the transformer whatsoever. Happy to post but local buyers have the priority

Roku Ultra 4K media stream, with HDMI and Optical digital output In very good cosmetic condition. Works 100% as it should. It streams Netflix, Disney+, Youtube etc Has useful optical digital audio output too. Most Roku models don’t have this output, only Ultra 4640x has it. NAD C-316BEE V2 (has MM phono stage) Selling for my friend as he had upgraded his humble system to pre/power set up. This is in excellent condition, no issues whatsoever. Great little amp, puts out 40 real RMS watts, drives his Dynaudio speakers to high enough volume with ease and stay composed and never sound harsh. Pick up or post at buyers expense

Up for sale is one of my disc spinners in my collection. Listed as CD transport as IMO, this is the best use for this machine other than just a great CD player too. A true highend unit built like a tank with utmost attention to details, thick copper panel underneath to aid vibration and RF interference. Super heavy. Drop down/lift up display face panel to access slide out disc loading mechanism. Balance XLR 2 channel output. Both coaxial/optical digital output. Internally, built with hand selected high grade components. Highend transport used. Toshiba spare no expense when built this machine. It plays DVD but how many of us still loading those discs, if you still have some. Let’s ignore that. Use this machine as CD player or as a superb transport feed the audio signal to your favourite DAC and you have one of the best transport comparable to $1k+ machine. Use its balance XLR if you want to use its internal DAC and if your amp has XLR input. It also has Coaxial/Optical PCM input. I never used those, not sure what they’re exactly for to be honest. Functional perfect, cosmetic: has some small scratches on top as pictured, front, sides and back are in perfect condition. Comes with original remote.
