Hi Everyone, I'm in the process of assisting a close friend liquidate a vast majority of his Hi Fi equipment as he has recently transitioned into Aged Care Centre and unfortunately cannot take the majority of his equipment with him to the centre. I have rated this pair of speakers as good condition as opposed to being excellent as there is a tiny wear mark on the grill cloth at the bottom of one of the grills and a very small section of one of the speaker cabinet’s is showing slight age wear at the curved section of one side that meets the top join. All drivers are in good condition with no visible signs of damage of any kind that I can see from my multiple visual inspections. These speakers perform and punch well above their weight considering their size. I have been testing these Diamond 10.1’s for over a fortnight swapping between a Pathos Classic One Mk3 tube hybrid to an ME240 to a 1980’s Audiolab 8000a for a total of over 20hrs of auditioning time and they haven’t missed a beat and have impressed me greatly. For anyone interested that is not local, these speakers can be securely wrapped and packed in cardboard carton for shipping at cost. Specifications Two-way, magnetically shielded, reflex-loaded, stand-mounted loudspeaker. Drive-units: 1" (25mm) soft-dome tweeter, 4.9" (125mm) Kevlar-cone woofer. Connections: Dual binding posts Crossover frequency: 1.8kHz. Nominal frequency range: 48–24kHz. HF limit: 44kHz, –10dB. Nominal impedance: 6 ohms. Sensitivity: 86dB/W/m. Recommended amplification: 20–100W. Dimensions: 296mm H x 194mm W x 278mm D Weight: 5.2kg each Finish: Blackwood The below is an early Stereophile review when the Diamond 10.1 had come to the market back in the day to replace the Diamond 9’s -> https://www.stereophile.com/content/wharfedale-diamond-101-loudspeaker

Hi Everyone, I have a good condition TARA Labs Prism Bi-wire speaker cable in 2metre pair length that has become excess to my needs. Those in the know will already be aware of the reputation & quality of Tara Labs, especialy these ones that were produced in the late 1990's through to mid 2000's and made in the USA. I've rated them "Good Condition" only because of the discolouration of the white external jacket/sleeve of the cable by exposure to light & dust behind my stereo rack, the integrity of the cable is SOLID and has never had heavy objects laid on top of it or been cinched by other components etc...... I'm located in Birsbane's northside for collection or can be posted to your location at cost to you.

Hello Everyone, I'm thinning out my secondary and tertiary audio systems and it is with a heavy heart that I'm listing my Ayre Acoustics Cx7e MP cd player up for sale. Hope I don't have seller's regret.... I bought it "newish" as it was a demo unit from Audioconnection in Leichhardt, NSW and then a few years later, sent it back to their service department to perform the MP ( minimum phase ) filter upgrade. In December 2024, I noticed the cd drawer was starting to have difficulty ejecting and I sent to AudioMagic in Victoria and they replaced the mechanism and it's now working fine. Comes supplied with working factory remote control handset, original and updated user manuals and all receipts. I don't have the original packing cartons as in my last house relocation I found that they had deteriorated, but I have alternate double box cartons that I can pack it in to send this fine CD player via courier/road freight if required ( at your cost ). Specifications : Description: Integrated CD player with remote control and two user-selectable digital filter settings. Analog outputs: 1 pair unbalanced (RCA), 1 pair balanced (XLR). Digital outputs: 1 AES/EBU (XLR). Maximum output level: 4.5V RMS at 1kHz (balanced), 2.25V RMS (unbalanced). Frequency response: DC-20kHz, ±0.25dB. S/N ratio: 110dB (unweighted ref. 0dBFS). Power consumption: 30W. Dimensions: 440mm W by 120mm H by 350mm D. Weight: 25 lbs (11.5kg). My friend tells me he recalls purchasing this item new from Caxton Audio at Paddington, Brisbane.Qld. I have tested this well made and great sounding CD player with my audio system and it works as expected with no issues playing normal CDs and played several over a weekend of testing. The included remote control was also tested and worked as expected. It hasn't had much use as approximately 2yrs after his purchased this CDP, he upgraded to a balanced output CD player and this unit was subsequently boxed up and stored away until recently. Specifications copied from Arcam UK website :- Digital to Analogue System Wolfson 8741 DACs operating in differential mode Output stage design derived from range topping FMJ AV9 processor High precision clock with individually buffered clock outputs Anti clipping processing to prevent distortion from CDs with very high output level Connectivity Two pairs of RCA phono outputs for multi room use or direct recording Coax (phono) and optical (Toslink) digital outputs Power supply Toroid mains transformer Separate, high capacity power supplies for analogue, servo and digital sections Each supply individually regulated Separate ground returns (“Star” earth) for each power supply to prevent inter-stage noise Switchable mains power inlet 110-120v / 220-240v Supplied packaged in OEM packing carton along with the original printed user manual, remote control handset and IEC power cable.

My friend tells me he recalls purchasing this item as a “demonstration” example from Audio Connection in Parramatta, N.S.W. back in 2019 when he decided to upgrade from his humble Audiolab 8000A amp to something that was a considerable upgrade. This amplifier was teamed up with a pair of Dynaudio Contour 1.8 mk2 floorstanders ( previously sold ) and it was a killer combo to listen to and enjoy. Sadly, my friend didn’t have enough time to enjoy all this as much he would have liked as depression, aphasia and dementia started to impact on his general wellbeing about 1.5yrs after he purchased this amplifier. This Pathos Classic One Mk3 is not only a piece of visual Audio Artistry, but this Italian thoroughbred weighs in with palpable presence and musicality with its hybrid approach ( yes, it uses Tubes in the Pre-amp section and Solid State muscle in the power amp ). Aside from the usual array of RCA inputs, this amp also has one pair of Balanced Inputs. There’s even remote control convenience with the hewn from wood remote wand ! Original OEM packaging and user manual still sealed in the plastic sleeve. Specifications :- Classic One MKIII Integrated amplifier in Class A/AB, hybrid circuit with input tube stage, bridgeable Tubes : 2x JJ branded E88CC Output Power 2 x 70W @ 8 Ohm, 2 x 135W @ 4 Ohm, 180W in bridged mode (mono) Inputs 1 balanced XLR 4 unbalanced RCA Frequency response 2Hz ÷ 100kHz THD <0.05% Signal/noise ratio 90dB Input impedance 100kOhm Dimensions 230mm (D) X 500 (W) X 140mm (H) Gross weight when packed : 13.5 kgs

Hi Everyone, I'm in the process of assisting a close friend liquidate a vast majority of his Hi Fi equipment as he has transitioned into Aged Care Centre and unfortunately cannot take the majority of his equipment with him to the centre. We are currently in the process of cleaning out his apartment and have not come across any paperwork for the purchase of this item, but if we find such paper work after this advert is posted, it will be included. My friend tells me he recalls purchasing this item in late March in 2020 via a phone order from Carlton Audio Visual based in Lygon St, Carlton., Victoria and had it road freighted to Brisbane. Even though we are yet to find the purchase receipt, the shipping label on the factory shipping carton confirms this information. I have tested this turntable on 4x LP’s that I played and it works as expected for a great turntable that’s had only between 50 to 80hrs of total use over the last 4yrs as my friend had been experiencing medical and health challenges so hasn't been able to use it. It comes as a bare turntable supplied with an arm-base to suit SME tonearms, but no tonearm is supplied with this sale ( see my other listings if you are after a tonearm ) Specifications : Spider chassis, suspended stable subchassis Massive acrylic/vinyl platter of high inertia, with goldplated brass weights Inverted oil-pumping bearing New Bottle of 8ml of Michell Bearing Oil ( purchased from Krispy Audio for $29.00 ) Arm board for SME tonearm High-quality standalone DC motor Finished: In Black Weight :14 kg Dimensions: 53 (w) x 41 (d) x 19 (h) cms / With lid fully opened 53 (w) x 49 (d) x 55 (h) cms This turntable has been totally disassembled and packed back in the original shipping carton ready to find the next owner.

Hi Everyone, I'm probably going to have "seller's regret" after listing this pair of HiFiMan HE-500 planar magnetic headphones and upgraded Double Helix Monocrystal Cable that I bought new direct from Fang himself back in mid 2011 a few months after they were released to the market for the RRP of $899 USD and the upgraded cable from Double Helix was $279 USD. These awesome headphones have been resting on my Sieveking Sound Omega headphone stand ( not for sale ) for over 5yrs and haven't been used until recently when I have been testing my friend's headphone amplifier that I've recently sold. I have also given these He-500's a good long test in the last couple of weeks with my custom built MAD ( Mapletree Audio Design ) Ear Purist+ valve headphone amplifier and they performed like a champ with no issues what so ever. Even my Bottlehead Crack OTL valve amplifier drove the HE-500 without breaking a sweat. I have graded the condition of the headphones as VERY GOOD instead of EXCELLENT as the colour of the ear cushions have faded from black to a grey due to some occasional sunlight coming through the gaps between the venetian blinds at the window directly behind where this pair of headphones has been siting on the headphone stand for all these past years. The cushions have no physical damage or deterioration as such aside from the colour fade. Included in the original presentation box is 1x spare ear cushion in a zip lock bag and the OEM Japanese Canare cable. The presentation box although it's been kept inside the original corrugated cardboard packing carton has aged where the imitation leather/P.U. covering has some minor blotches.

Hi Everyone, I'm in the process of assisting a close friend liquidate a vast majority of his Hi Fi equipment as he transitioned into Aged Care late last year and unfortunately couldn't take the majority of his equipment with him to the centre. My friend Gary bought this MAD ( Mapletree Audio Design ) Ear+ purist tube headphone amplifier direct from Dr. Lloyd Peppard ( founder of Mapletree Audio Design ) as an assembled production unit with NOS tubes and teamed it up with his Sennheiser HD600 headphone as well as a pair of Grado SR80s headphones. When his HD600 failed, he upgraded to the Sennheiser HD800 headphones and continued to use this great little tube amplifier to power them also. This headphone amplifier was commissioned/bought around circa 2007 from Mapletree Audio Design and has worked flawlessly through all the years of ownership and playback and the only other cost for Gary was that due to his love and regular use of this amplifier that eventually he replaced all the 3x tubes on it and only about 18 months ago. There is another set of spare NOS tubes that will be included in this sale. The only minus points I can assign to this little sonic marvel is age related cosmetic wear where there are a few small tiny pits on the case work, the original stick on labels for the rear RCA sockets and serial number had previously detached and were replaced non original labels and some slight fading on the MAD logo on top of the power transformer casing. My friend Gary had really "babied" this headphone amplifier as it was his retirement present to himself after he retired from work so it was used with care. I have tested this beaut headphone amplifier over the last month for several hours each week and it has performed nicely with no issues and it's silent as. If I didn't already own one of these myself, I would be buying this off my friend, but because I already have one myself it's pointless to have 2 of the same thing. This Ear+ purist is no longer available from Mapletree Audio Design since Dr Lloyd Peppard seems to have completely handed over the business to Al Freundorfer due to his failing eyesight. Specifications : Vacuum Tubes : - 2x 12B4A and 1x 5751 Input Connections : Dual RCA sockets Output Connection : 1/4" Stereo socket Minimum recommended load impedence : 30 ohms Input impedance: 100k ohms Operating power : 15w @ 230-240 VAC Dimensions: 115mm H x 155mm W x 270mm D Weight: 2.85 kg Finish: Powder Coated Steel casework https://www.mapletreeaudio.com/index.html Sorry, price is FIRM with no discounts as the sale of this headphone amplifier already includes an extra set of unused 3x valves that cost at least $90.

Hi Everyone, I'm assisting a close friend liquidate a vast majority of his Hi Fi equipment as he transitioned into an Aged Care Centre late last year and unfortunately couldn't take the majority of his equipment with him to the centre.
