  1. Why would you ever sell these? Probably the best speakers that Jamo ever made. I don't think I have ever seen a pair of these for sale second hand since they first came out. Someone will be very happy with this purchase. If only I had the money; or the space. GLWTS.
    • Price: AUD $50
    • Condition: Brand New
    • State: (VIC) Victoria/Australia
These we bought as part of a surround system I installed for someone many moons ago and they used ceiling speakers for surrounds. These have been sitting in the cupboard ever since in their cloth bags. New condition and never used. They are never going to win any awards, but they sound surprisingly good for background music or a small system. We have another pair running in our office reception and they serve the purpose perfectly. Haven't got any packaging, but could possibly deliver to some parts of Melbourne in the next few weeks as I will be down there a few times. Postage would cost nearly as much as the asking price, so not really practical.

Good quality Kordz digital coax interconnect. I bought heaps of cables years ago when I was doing sales and installs and never ended up using heaps of them. Still new in packet.

Highest quality Kordz cable. I bought heaps of cables when I was doing sales and installs years ago and never ended up using many of them. If you have a specific cable need, please feel free to message me. I will try and list others as well, but I have various length sub woofer cables, coax digital interconnects, various brand and length RCA cables and also more obscure old type cables like s-video & scart etc. Postage at buyers expense, which I think will be about $15.

Good quality Kordz spaeker cable. Woven shape for whatever benefits that does and heavy duty. 4 x 12 gauge I think, or could be 10 gauge. The match and texta are in the photo to help show size. From memory this was Kordz best speaker cable back when they made all sorts of cables. I bought heaps of it when I was doing sales and installs and never ended up using it all. For many people this will be the best cable you ever need and it is at the price of cheap and nasty stuff. Can cut some to required lengths, but would prefer to sell the 50 meter roll as one lot if possible. $8 per meter or $200 for the 50 meter roll. Postage will be about $15 for a 3 meter pair (1 kg) and $30 for the roll, with Australia post. Can possibly deliver to some parts of Melbourne over the next couple of weeks.
  2. I have a pair of concert 7s and have had a a similar issue. However, I don't think it is the amp. On mine it seems to be the bass just doesn't kick in until you give it some volume. I have run a Marantz 2252 and NAD 7090 vintage amps and both give enormous sound, but not until I crank the vloume up a bit. At low volume the speakers are a bit uninspiring. BRS could also be right. It might be the speaker and chair positioning in the room. Good luck sorting it out.
  3. Will someone buy this absolute bargain before I end up buying more speakers that I don't need. Incredible buy here people.
  4. I have a pair of these Interdyns and they are very nice sounding speakers. From memory both SEAS drivers. If the buyer can get over the vinyl peeling, they are an absolute bargain that I would buy in a flash if I didn't already have too many speakers. Treat the little centre channel as a bonus.
  5. WOW! Must be the best quality Sanyo anything I've ever seen. Very impressive unit. GLWTS. Unfortunately I don't need another record player.
  6. I reckon you've done pretty well. I don't know that anyone would be able to price that. GLWTS. Pretty cool old gear.
  7. I love these models. A mate had the matching cassette deck and it just looked so cool with the big clear buttons with little light bars across them and the front moving in and out. An awesome and rare pickup for someone.
  8. Hi everyone. I have just managed to get my hands on a 1978 NAD 7080 in very good condition. Everything works and my initial thoughts are that has huge power and crystal clear vocals. They seem to be pretty rare and there is not much info about them on the internet. Hifi engine has a service manual, but I am hoping another member might have an owners manual that they have as a PDF file. if anyone out there has one they could send me, it would be greatly appreciated. If you have the original paper manual (I assume there was one) not as a pdf, I would be happy to give you a few bucks for the time taken to scan it. Thanks. Fletch
  9. I don't know why a respected company like Yamaha has to go down the ridiculous specifications path. I just received an email about their new SR-B40A soundbar. While I'm not a huge fan of soundbars in general, I had a quick look on their website. Power output - 200 watts Power consumption - 45 watts Why don't we just fill the house with these things and we could run all the electrical appliances from the power they produce. "Save a fortune on electricity" should be their advertising slogan. Seriously, all it does it lower my opinion of the company as a whole. But then I'm probably not their target market.

  10. I have some Kordz Vortex cable that can be cut to length. It is 10 or 12 guage (huge when the bi-wires are joined together). I think and was Kordz best speaker wire back when they were doing all sorts of cables. I bought a couple of rolls of it cheap when I was an installer. I'm selling it for $5 a meter unterminated. RRP at the time was $28 a meter from memory. Postage on a 3m pair is $13 (1kg), so 2 x 1m may be less. The photo with the sharpie is just to give you an idea of the size of it.
  11. Hi Steve. If you want to try something way below your budget, but still good quality, I have some Kordz Vortex cable that can be cut to length. It is 10 or 12 guage I think and was Kordz best speaker wire back when they were doing all sorts of cables. I bought a couple of rolls of it cheap when I was an installer. I'm selling it for $5 a meter unterminated. RRP at the time was $28 a meter from memory. Postage on a 3m pair should be $13 (1kg), so all up you're only looking at $43 plus whatever banana plugs you want. The photo with the sharpie is just to give you an idea of the size of it.
  12. Boy, what a bargain for someone! Just the woofers are worth more than the asking price. Someone is going to be very happy with this lot. GLWTS.
  13. Seriously? Upgrading from this? A bargain though for anyone who can afford it. GLWTS.
  14. Can you store them at a friend or family's place and take them back after the reno? You don't want to be giving away such good speakers. What are they, $14k new? If only I had the space and the money (sigh).
  15. Very likely to be all Seas drivers too. Most of the old Interdyn speakers sound great.
  16. You can often fix the dust caps up by carefully using the vacuum cleaner tube to suck them back out. I've done it a few times for a great result. Those ones look like they'd suck out easily. GLWTS.
  17. Must be a serious upgrade Michael to be replacing this as a centre. It will be a great buy for someone. GLWTS.
  18. If only I could justify another pair of speakers. ANY Duntech for $1,400 is unheard of! They have to be gone by morning, surely.
  19. I can agree with pretty much all of Arcsabre's comments. I have had most of this same system (different rears) for years it it has served us well. My wife would have been happy to keep it permanently, but I've upgraded fronts to old Jamo concert 7s and now just have to find a centre to sort of match those. As stated, it's not the be all and end all for acurate hi-fi sound, but for this money someone could have a great first proper surround system. GLWTS.
  20. I used to sell these when I was an installer. It's a very high quality screen, so if it cleans up alright it's an absolute bargain.
