  1. Address and contact details would be appreciated
  2. Very sad to discover that Kilim Electronics has closed its doors. Now that Chris has retired can anyone recommend a repairer in NSW that can repair tube gear?

This model was a DX which was upgraded to DX2 specifications and is in excellent condition for its age. The Antipodes DX2 is a simple and complete one-box model, integrating pre-installed storage, autoripper and Roon server and renderer functions, and is a Stereophile Class A+ Recommended Component. The DX2 has not only enjoyed the reputation of arguably the world's best music server for several years, it is unique in providing exceptional digital audio sound quality together with one-box simplicity and ease of use. Ongoing development has continued to keep the DX2 at the head of the pack. https://darko.audio/2016/06/reference-grade-roon-with-the-antipodes-dx-gen-2/ https://www.stereophile.com/content/antipodes-dx-reference-music-server ELECTRICAL DISCLAIMER

  3. Does anyone know of capable repairer in Sydney area who is able to repair Class D power amps, preferably experienced with Purifi based amps.

Aurender N100 Streamer in excellent condition, with original box. Possibly the cheapest N100 for sale anywhere. Have a look on Hi Fi shark.
  4. Hi has anyone tried EVS Purifiers from the USA?
  5. How do you send private messages on this website? I'll be away from my computer until Sunday but would love to talk further.
  6. Seeking better and easier integration and not wanting to have to have my computer (which is the current Roon Core ) on all the time.
  7. Anyone know which streamers have built in Roon Core?
  8. I'm ready to buy but I can't offer more than $2200.
  9. Can the 2 outputs be used simultaneously to use for biamping?
  10. I have one of these and even without the Sparkos it is a great DAC. A steal at the price.
  11. A unique chance to own an amplifier by the legendary designer, Tim de Paravici. Exquisite sound based on all new EL34 tubes with enough power to drive my Martin Logan electrostatic speakers. It has 4 and 8 ohm speaker connectors and is balanced and single ended. Probably the only one for sale in Australia. In as new condition with the original box and manual
  12. Happy to buy for $250 paypal.
  13. Thanks PKay but was there any appreciable difference in SQ between the mono blocks and the stereo amp. I'm also considering other Purifi based Class D amps such as Nord(UK) and Audiophonics from France around the same price ( landed ), While I would prefer to buy Australian the others give the customer more options such as different op amps, dual mono and discrete voltage regulators. I realise there is no substitute for a home demo, which gives the March an advantage, but there is a cost I believe if you choose to return it.
  14. Sickness prevented me attending the presentation but I am interested in the March amplifiers, particularly the P262 or P422 (which Alan says sound similar just that the P422 has more power]. I would be interested in the views of attendees on the sound and build quality of the amplifiers demonstrated.
  15. andyr I've made no decision yet, still considering. My aim is to find an amp which sounds great but doesn't cause back spasms when you try to move it.
  16. OK apart from convenience I've got nothing against XLR except I only own one pair of cheap XLR interconnects On a perhaps engineering quality issue why is it you don't use or at least give the option of using Sparkos SS2590, Sound Image or Weiss op amps. I know they are more expensive but you could offer customers the option of using what are generally considered to be superior op amps, each offering a different kind of sound.
  17. I appreciate you believe engineering proves you right and that might well be, but it doesn't explain why so many other engineers manufacture equipment with RCA only or both XLR and RCA connections. Yes I know that almost all the smaller manufacturers of Purifi based amps use XLR only, as you do , and as do other well regarded manufacturers like Audio Note. But the industry seems to be split down the middle with engineers on both sides. Anyway on your final point as not finding XLR difficult to connect, if you were not in WA I would invite you to my house and see for yourself how awkward it to connect with XLR when the gap behind your cabinet and the wall is about 9 inches and when you are 81 years old with a crook back.
  18. Alan are you implying that not only is Frank van Alstine wrong but also Tim de Paravici, who didn't seem to care one way or another, and a number of other esteemed engineers designing amplifiers? I respect your professional opinion but wonder if it is presumptive to claim to be right in the face of other views. I note that you have had problems with Amir, the fanatical measurement only count scientist/reviewer, who also asserts he is right in his view " if it measures right it sounds right". I am no engineer but my view is that if it sounds good to me it is good for me, particularly when able to evaluate equipment in your own room with other gear you own. On the balanced v RCA issue as I can't hear a difference, possibly because of my advanced age, I don't really care. All I know is that in a confined space with little visibility it is easier to connect equipment using RCAs. So for me for convenience if nothing more it's a win for RCA.
