  1. I love Forbidden City Something sounding like the go-betweens ain't no bad thing -i present exhibit A : Underground Lovers - The defense rests
  2. Have you listened to it recently? It's got a few killer tracks on it if you can get around the bombastic acid house piano - i reckon Forbidden City is up there with their best tracks https://youtu.be/HETySgf-SYs?si=Rzz8PUHp_4M_bd1u
  3. Well now this is giving me the tingles big time Get the Message - The Best of Electronic 2xLP remastered I have their first album on vinyl, which is a simply excellent teamup between Johnny Marr, Bernard Sumner and Neil Tennant - but good luck finding their second and third albums on vinyl... (though i'm guessing @metal beat might have them) The sound quality of this comp is incredible Their later recordings also feature Karl Bartos from Kraftwerk - so it really is a supergroup 10/10
  4. nah that was mates who were at the gig no journos - full disclosure - i hate BJM and the Dandys almost as much as I hate the beatles, coldplay and oasis lol
  5. Heard they were whiney little primadonna b*tches at the adelaide show and spent more time tuning their guitars and being toxic chodes than actually playing songs lol Just like in DIG
  6. No idea! For some reason vol 1 is rarer than an LNP politician with a soul
  7. Klaus Schulze- Body Love Volume 2 1977 - Brain Label Naughty album cover alert! This was written as the OST for a porn film but wasn't used... Who would have thought that ambient synth soundscapes to a downtempo beat wouldn't get your heart racing in the bedroom Side one is a 28 minute track called 'nowhere' it's awesome
  8. Tangerine Dream - The Keep - limited edition OST Fantastic book, flawed but fascinating movie, EXCELLENT soundtrack It KEEPS going up in price so figured now or never
  9. Second record fair score - had my eye out for a first pressing of this that was in good nick and not overpriced for aaaaages - finally found one - i love almost all his stuff to bits but this and Blue Valentine are my two favourite Waits albums
  10. Interkosmos - Hypnotizer 2016 2xLP Norwegian stoner psych kraut I was at a record fair today and one of the regulars who i will refer to as my krautrock dealer was like - "I've got something for you and if you don't love it I'll buy it back - I have three copies of this just in case something happens to one of them" It's bl00dy excellent
  11. i can't tell you how long i've been waiting to roll that gag out ... I'll get me coat
  12. Funny you should mention Chris DeBurgh - - I met him in a vape shop while looking to buy some e-cigarette liquid... he was also browsing the liquids I asked him if he had any recommendations or anything to steer clear of - he pointed to a bottle of red juice on the shelf - and said - 'don't vape the berry, man'
  13. Nevermind Schmevermind - this is to me one of the most important albums of the 90s - limited edition blue vinyl
  14. I have this and A Tab in the Ocean - probably 50% of my record collection is krautrock* but i just can't get into them - or Jane for that matter *i know Nektar are English but they're categorized as Krautrock - and i've always disagreed with this - but they formed in Hamburg and lived and performed in Germany during the same period
  15. Got platinum tickets for Kraftwerk in December- yes the oz 1st pressing is stunning
  16. 32 degrees today - first ocean swim of the season - daylight savings FINALLY here... Balmy evening, slight ocean breeze - glass of good pinot Of course the only possible music choice is the Sade box set
  17. The Fall - Shift Work - 1991 Far and away my favourite Fall album - so bloody great to finally have it on vinyl ... though the CD has one extra song
  18. A lot of the Kraftwerk purists bag this album but i absolutely love it and the production is flawless
  19. Who would have thought that German kosmische synth pioneer Klaus Schulze would come to Australia in 1982 to score this weird Aussie psychological horror film
  20. Superb album and great sounding vinyl
  21. The Smiths - The Queen is Dead Needs no introduction- but has long been missing from my vinyl collection i think this is my third copy Final 2 weeks of Yr 12 - counselor says I'm going to likely fail and to prepare for doing Yr 13 Fuq that for a game of soldiers says I - so I cram and cram and cram - basically do 6 months of catchup in 11 days - loads of No-Doze and coffee hunkered away in my bedroom - living off 2 minute noodles and microdosing pot and dried mushrooms - also during that time my first true love broke up with me and my cat had to be put down and my parents were divorcing - fighting every night I emerge after those 2 weeks - sit my exams and finish in the top 10% of the State - perfect scores in English, History and Art. My soundtrack? One extended play cassette - this on one side, Faith and Seventeen Seconds in the other LOL 1989 what a time to be alive
