  1. Hi Joe, Thanks for your interest. The item has sold - sorry. Best regards, Peter
  2. Hi Robbiefest, Not sure if you are familiar with the system but I am unsure of your enquiry. No problem. I am also a beginner. Best regards, Peter
  3. Further Information: I have enjoyed this unit for many years. It was initially coupled to a Rotel RB1080 power amp. More recently it drove Hypex Nilai 500 monoblocks. It has been replaced by a PASS XP 12 preamp.
  4. Further Information: This is a wonderful CD player. I purchased it in the USA but have used it in Australia. It has given me so much pleasure. You should note that you will need a transformer to convert 240->120 volts. This is included.
  5. Further Information: This is a classic CD player. It was built in England and is wired for 230V 50 Hz operation. It has a European plug so you will need an adaptor.

  6. Reluctant to package for interstate buyers. Am looking into it. There is no headphone facility. Best regards, Peter
  7. As you suggest, you have a whole world of choices. You really need to consider your needs. That is, what music you listen to, your expectations of a stereo system and, it affects us all, your budget.
  8. Further Information: Krell KAV 300i with remote control. Some scratches on minor surfaces. The front panel is excellent.
  9. Further Information: These were built. in New York, from the SEAS plans at https://www.seas.no/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=382:thor-seas-diy-kits&catid=66&Itemid=345 The cabinets feature a wall thickness of 37.5mm (1.5 inches). The veneer is cherry wood and is peeling at the rear. Also, there is a chip out of the veneer at the rear of one of the speakers. The grilles are in good condition but need some more studs for stability. That said they may be used as they are without you having to apologise for their condition. Drivers are in very good/excellent condition. The speakers may be bi-wired. These speakers have given me great joy over the years.
  10. As requested
  11. Thanks. It was in fact this video that made me consider the Hypex amp.
  12. I recently purchased two Hypex Nilai monoblocks https://www.diyclassd.com/products/diy-amplifier-kits/nilai500diy-500w-mono-power-amplifier-kit I have built many amplifiers, from scratch, over the years but this was well-designed and assembly was easy. No soldering. You just have to be able to use basic tools like screw drivers and allen keys. The keys are supplied. I think anyone could put them together. One thing I didn't expect was the import duty which came to about AUD$400. So bear this extra cost in mind. I am very happy with the amplifiers. They are driving JBL K2 S9900's from a PASS XP12 preamp.
