Up for consideration is my beloved pair of Focal Utopia 2020s in fantastic condition! If I didn't need the money for the Geshelli Dayzee, these would not be going anywhere (and I'll no doubt buy them again when I have the $$), but I have 6 other headphones and 5 amplifiers (Geshelli being the obvious choice as it can decode 6 amps simultaneously). These are my best cans but they're the only ones I can sell to get the Dayzee ($2000 USD). Everything original and in fantastic condition. Throwing in $1000 of cables - 1 TOTL Aurealis (Australian made) Silver cable ($700), 1.5m, 6.3mm termination (because Utopias love tubes and most tube amps are SE) and A Furutech balanced 4 pin XLR ($300), which is 3m long. The 4 upgraded Opamps are worth $500 (and are new!) These as-new condition (literally 2 months old), new model ZA3 Stereo/Mono power amps, balanced by themselves are very good and very powerful. There are 2 so it's stereo. But when you add 2 (new) Sparkos SS3602 opamps in the XLR stage, and 2 (new) Burson V7 Vivd Pros in the volume stage, and upgrade to the 48a5v power supplies, they become UNBELIEVABLY good!!! Watch Passion For Sound's video on them (link below). They are rated at 180w into 4 ohm in stereo, but 48v 5w power increases that to 240w. These are insanely powerful, detailed, crisp with much imporved soundstage, (both width and depth) and and instrument separation, with the 4 upgraded opamps and power supply. I use them to drive Elac Solano BS283 4 ohm bookies and a 300w Paradigm subby. The power, bass and clarity is amazing!! I removed front plated to demonstrate some internals. More photos if anyone needs. Face plates come with them obviously (I like bright, flashy things haha, so left them off for the past few weeks). The total amount is over $1000 ($500 for the 4 opamps alone), so this absolutely amazing value!! I have added 8 lovely isolation feet and I also have done some cosmetic upgrades (LED's inside). Buyer can remove easily if not desired. This is honestly a magnificent powerful and quality power amp package to get your speakers singing and the quality is so, so good (with the upgrades). Up for consideration is this amazing 3w SET hybrid tube headphone amplifier and pre-amplifier from McChanson (Eric) in Sydney, who makes the most wonderful bespoke valve amps, and has done for decades. He is a genuinely lovely man who cares deeply for his passion and and gives customer service a new name!!!!!!! Honest regrettable sale as I need the money for an Advance Paris Power amp for my speakers. This comes with many different tubes to roll!! This veritable beast is 8.2kgs!! It is less than 1 year old and in "as new" condition. I have proof of purchase if required. This is a high quality two-stage of the Wonder tube 6Y6G/GT OR other pin compatible tubes, in triode mode driven by a 6SL7 ( workable with 6SN7 or 12AU7, 12AT7, 12AX7 with adapter) , output through an output transformer (own designed quality 30VA Z11 core ) outputs about 3W capable of driving most headphones including those Power Hungry ones. From Eric regarding my amp: Hi Andrew, Your MiniGold UltimatE has a switch in the middle of top plate marked + and -, This is to use for increase or lower the bias voltage ( i.e current ), which is new to the current version of UltimatE, You are the first one ( other than my MiniSilver ) that has this "wonderful" switch. When you find the power in the current setting having a bias a bit too low ( i.e. best bias range is 40 to 60 mV), say 30mV, if the switch is NOT already in + position, then switch it to + position. to allow the bias to increase a bit.. Similarly when the power tube the bias reading is too high, and if the switch is not already in - position, switch it to - to lower the current... Allowable max is about 65 mV though, provided that the power transformer is not too hot, i.e. untouchable. When you increase the bias, you always should see it it is not over the allowed plate dissipation of the power tube. Most small power tubes are of about 10W, as a rule of thumb, let the ceiling be about 60mV, conservatively.... This was handmade specifically for me. It has a gold face plate (normally silver or black) and 1 gold encased transformer. It has an upgraded Alps mini Volume Pot, blue led power light and as mentioned, and an extremely handy bias switch to allow a wider variety of tubes to roll. It comes with well over $500 of extra tubes and adapters (see photos), mostly NOS. This amp has many different sounds and flavours, depending on the tube configuration in each stage. It honestly is a fantastic sounding valve amplifier with a massive bank of clean power to drive just about any headphone on the planet. A fellow audiophile equated it sonically to the Bottlehead Single Ended eXperiment (SEX) tube amp. Crystal clear but bags of tubey goodness with a liquid midrange. One extra bonus is my friend in the USA who is an expert on tubes who will happily receive communication on any questions regarding this amp's current suite of tubes or potential new wonderful tubes to roll - he is a tube-savant so I asked his permission to give advice to the new owner.
