1. Howdy all, Some of you may recall a thread I started showcasing some HT related products that my company makes, linky: http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showtop...&hl=Modular Well, due to a new addition (SGR MT3 Centre) I have the option to reconfigure the original modular unit or sell it and design something new! Piccy: http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?act=att...ost&id=9853 So I thought I'd let fate decide which way to go, by offering the existing unit as an expression of interest That way if it sells I'll design something new, and if it doesn't sell I'll make the additional pieces (as it's designed to be modded to allow for new kit ) needed for it to house the new SGR Centre. So the sales pitch goes like this: *Original design *Hand crafted *Precise mitre joins *Hand polished Sydney Blue Gum *Design allows for easy dismantling and adding on as HT grows *12 separate boxes for housing HT kit, plus base and top totals 14 pieces *RRP is $495 (Including GST) per piece, but a very healthy discount will apply as this is my demonstration unit Basically, if this is something that interests you, feel free to PM a price you'd be happy to pay and I'll be in touch Cheers, Curious
2. Anything's possible JDH, that's why I started this company - so we could provide bespoke solutions to a variety of budgets - all I need to know is what a client wants and the budget to work with :-) Cheers, Curious
3. Thanks R&R, We have a retailer that we supply high-end tables to, he stocks chairs in volume, so it was simpler to have him match a set to the table :-) Cheers, Curious
4. Howdy all, Thought I'd provide an update in the form of some shots of a dining table we created out of Blackbutt for a client recently. Harry from SGR was kind enough to shoot it insitu while they were installing some of their lovely audio gear in the client's living room. Here's a few of Harry's excellent photographs: The table was much loved by all, so more pieces will be created soon (including a lowline entertainment unit) - stand by for more pics to come Cheers, Curious

8. Oh I see, one is as bad as the other eh! Come think of it, I have the collection on vinyl - oughta sound better with greater dynamic range...looks like I'll be setting up the TT again :-) Cheers, Curious
9. You are spot on Craig, it's Fingerprints - fairly subtle difference ;-) Regarding the compression issue, I'll do some more listening and post back. Ok had a listen to both tracks on Fingerprints and Odyssey Number Five: With regard to 'My Happiness' i'm buggered if I can pick up any difference between the two... just when I thought maybe I could hear the cymbals a little better or a background harmony slightly more, I checked it on the other recording and couldn't tell the difference - what am I missing here? 'These Days' can't really be compared because the version on Fingerprints is the movie version (which ironically I preferred due to what sounded like a better separation of instruments) so I can't call it a dud either... Feel free to weigh in with opinions folks, maybe my ears just aren't up to it anymore - but is anyone else hearing something different between the 2 recordings? Just a thought Craig, are you listening to Odyssey Number Five or another recording maybe? Would love to hear an improved version of 'My Happiness' if it exists :-) Cheers, Curious
