Jventer Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 (edited) Item: Luxman P1 Headphone Amplifier Location: Grafton NSWPrice: $1,000Item Condition: GoodReason for selling: Need money to pay medical bills.Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD OnlyExtra Info: What a great amp. It is absolutely magical with my Sennheiser HD800 (up for sale separately soon). This is the real deal. Properly built, coax and balanced input, can run up to three difficult to drive headphones. Edit: I have had a few enquiries and questions, so here is more info. I am the second owner. I bought it on ebay a few years ago. I dont think I have the original boxes, but I do have the packing material/boxes I got it. I have the original brochure/manual that came with it. This is a 240V Australian version - you don't need a step up. Its been in my care/possession for about 4 years. The first 3 it was type of part of my main system, so did not get used for more than about 1h a week. The last year it was in my study and I used it almost daily. I have used it with the HD800 to test/try many cables, interconnects, a few dacs, different software etc etc. You can feed it simultaneously via XLR and RCA and switch between the two with a press of a button. Lots of info over on the headfi forums. Pictures: Edited June 25, 2016 by Jventer
Saxon Hall Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 GLWTS But sorry to hear about the need to sell due to medical bills. I reckon it would be a good combo with the HD800
Ccollins Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 i'm just going to through an idea out there... if this is an amp and hd800 you want to get back to could, in these instances, this may be something that could be "hocked" to a stereonet member (perhaps a more established one for security/good practice) for an agreed amount and time period where there you could then buy the gear back at then of the period ie no interest paid except that the other member could use this gear in the interim just an idea......(so feel free to pay this wacky idea out or praise my innovation)

I'am pretty sure there is a headphone store in NSW you can walk into to audition these. Then you can buy these off jventer. Edited June 23, 2016 by liteneasy
Jventer Posted June 23, 2016 Author Posted June 23, 2016 Thanks guys for the comments. Sad that I have to pay medical bills - such is life, but I am thankful for what I still have. I have three beautiful kids and I still have a nice main system on which I can listen. Good news is also that I have hoarded stuff over the years, once I have sold all the "good" items I can still listen to music to my cheap stuff . My best wishes for every member on the forum, enjoy it. Enjoy life. Be thankful for what you have, especially whatever ability you have to still hear - after my faith, music is what keeps me going. 6
cyberkank Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 whats the difference between this one and the current P1-U?
Jventer Posted June 24, 2016 Author Posted June 24, 2016 whats the difference between this one and the current P1-U? Thanks for the enquiry. Externally - P1 has 3 outputs whilst the P1u has 2. Different colours too. Lots of info over at headfi forum.
