unclemack Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 I have an old Pioneer amp with these speaker connections. Do they have a name? I tried Jaycar but they didn't have the correct plugs. I don't know what to Google! Cheers M
Zaphod Beeblebrox Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 No idea what they're called, but Pioneer was the only company who ever used them (to the best of my knowledge). Good luck finding appropriate plugs. Google will be your friend here.
Martykt Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Apparently they're called AKM-003 plugs. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2x-Speaker-Jack-Plugs-for-Vintage-AKM-003-Pioneer-AKAI-ALLIED-Amplifier-Receiver-/260968988869 1

Snapper() Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Hmmm .. i thought these were just a din connector. Googled it and can get cheaper than $35Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

Full Range Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 I supose you could pull apart a DIY style power plug with the screw wire holders and use them

GregWormald Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 How about some standard (automobile?) spade connectors shove in the slots? Greg 1

Full Range Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 As I mentioned above I would use a power point wall plug like the one in the photo Cut out the pins from the plastic surround and you have a ready to use speaker plug for your unusual size needs You can connect the wire by the screw or solder - then apply heat sink If the pins are to large they can be cut and or filed to suit
Fenda Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Maybe you could use the 2 pin caravan plugs available at jaycar
