one thing i found in Japan Tokyo was the turnover of bars and places was on the high side. for example we fancied a trip to a  roof top bar, even though we found several "top 5 roof tops in Tokyo" web pages  some not more than 6months since being published, we gave up as more direct research showed many were no longer operating. (but this could be a white-guy relying on the internet thing....)

it would be great knowing you can pick thru the pages of well presented book and be able to visit places that take your fancy.

When I first started collecting records, this was the first album that was added to my Discogs ‘Want List’. Five or so years later, I have finally been able to pick up a non-price-gouged, Near Mint copy from an Australian seller. One of my favourite albums ever.

I’ve been waiting for this for sooooooo long. The glorious Ragged Glory is included - listening to it as I type this.  Now I have to wait patiently for another few years for the next box set that should include my second all time favourite, Sleeps with Angels.

Just now via Discogs:

Joe Walsh "You Can't Argue With A Sick Mind" Live set, NM Japanese reissue (1978).....some great versions of some of his best on this.

Boz Scaggs "Hits!" NM 1980 Japanese 1st pressing. I was never 'right into' Boz but did like some of his earlier songs so guessing a 'best of' his early stuff should do the trick.

My Nephew came over on the weekend, he went to see this band last Friday night, he was so impressed he bought the LP, even thou he hasn't got a TT😅....

As he said, he's happy to play them on my TT, and asked me to keep his LP's here.

Dare I say a few wines later, and some music went down well, the SQ on this pressing is pretty good, I was expecting worse.

Arrived today from Discrepancy Records who I have to say we’re amazing! Packaged superbly sent express and really nice to talk to and helpful providing photos and condition. This is something that’s been on me list for a long time.

And it completes the pressings I’ve been after, for now.

UK 1st

Japanese 3rd

30th Anniversary

2016 Repress

50th Anniversary

Does anyone think there are others I should add?

Nice, but WTF has happened to the 5 Geffen albums  -   especially Trans!!

I have been waiting for Trans to get the CB treatment ever since the official release series started.

Perhaps he’s trying to forget that period in his recording career or maybe there are rights issues? I’m just speculating. In any case, they weren’t the best albums IMO.

Trans is in my top 3 Neil Young albums.   Probably a rights issue.
