Ortofon Quintet Black Hi Hector, A few years ago now since I had the Quintet Black S. But what I recall when I went from the 2M Black before it was little drop in bass heft (which at the time was a blessing in disguise as the room was little more of challenge than it currently is). But that was the only "downside" - everything else - airyness, detail, dimension and depth, was sublime. A great place to begin one's moving coil journey!

stevoz Posted December 23, 2023 Author Posted December 23, 2023 Last night on Discogs, Steve Wilson "The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories)", brand new 2023 reissue, 2 x LP Euro pressing (not sure where, Discogs doesn't confirm but research of other recent 'Snapper Music' Euro pressings suggests Optimal, Germany). 4
gasman1003 Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 (edited) Arrived yesterday: Snow Ghosts - The Fell. Houndstooth Records, UK, 2023. A band I had not heard before. The album was described in one review as, "A collection of old folk songs that were never written", and the music is just my cup of tea. Snow Ghosts - "Buried". stevoz Posted December 27, 2023 Author Posted December 27, 2023 (edited) Just now via Ebay (for a change) The Cure "Seventeen Seconds" 2016 Euro (GZ) repress.....to replace my 'bought when released' but now hazed original copy. Love this album.....but probably love 'Boys Don't Cry' more (which a female housemate in a late 70's sharehouse had.....boy did we give that album a fair thrashing back then!)....but found on both Discogs and Ebay that that LP is going for absolutely crazy money.....why FFS? So this, at a much more affordable price, will do very nicely for now. We'll work on 'BDC' at a later date..... Edited December 27, 2023 by stevoz 3 2
stevoz Posted December 29, 2023 Author Posted December 29, 2023 Just now via Discogs: Yes "Time And A Word" 2018 RSD Limited Edition (4000 copies) reissue, NM German pressing (Optimal). A bit of research shows that the cover used on this late reissue is the same as the Canadian release of Yes's self titled debut album. 4
