stevoz Posted August 24, 2024 Author Posted August 24, 2024 Just now via Dutch Vinyl, The Alan Parsons Project "The Turn Of A Friendly Card" 2005 Speakers Corner release, German pressing (Pallas), brand new. I have an Oz 1st pressing of this (cut by local Paul Ibbotson) and it's pretty impressive.....so this should be excellent. I have heard some Speakers Corner LP's at the Hi Fi Show over the years.....top shelf. 9 1

I have the MOV issue of this and it is OK but not really quiet. Not a fan of most of Miles Showell's work but interested in hearing your assessment.

Remastered by and lacquer cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Discogs notes give no hint where it's pressed.....hopefully Optimal? How does it sound.....better than the original release......?

stevoz Posted September 2, 2024 Author Posted September 2, 2024 Just now via ebay, Foreigner "Can't Slow Down...When It's Live!" 2014 release, 2 x LP ?German pressing, cheap from rarewaves (stupidly cheap). Ok, so it hasn't got the great Lou Gramm doing the vocals but the dude they have got, Kelly Hansen, is a pretty close match, in fact and to his credit, uncannily so.

stevoz Posted September 3, 2024 Author Posted September 3, 2024 Yesterday I popped into my local bazaar and picked this up for $15.....bargain. John Farnham "Age Of Reason" Oz 1st pressing, looks NM-ish. I have 'Whispering Jack' (mastered by DB) and it's SQ is brilliant so hoping this (mastered by Australia's Allan Parsons) is as good. 3
