Not much more expensive compared to vinyl flat with groovy pouch but with some proper temperature controller (with app control) I bought one of these to flatten my Discogs purchases. It has so far worked 100% set at 128 degrees F for three hours with overnight cool down. I like the fact that the app lets me monitor and shut down remotely. Makes cueing up a lot less stressful.

Is there a local reseller or does one have to purchase from the online store, which appears to be based overseas if I read correctly?

Yeah, great cover.....she has a sort of understated ''I'm open to approach but don't mess with me' vibe going. Love it. Definitely an album worth checking, can't believe it took me so long to get a copy. I first heard it when a flatmate got it in the 70's! 1
Sterg237 Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Beyond excited at the arrival of this. One of, if not my favourite albums ever. I had an original black pressing, the surface noise made it not worth the cost. Also surface noise and ambient music, not a good mix. This reissue, at a much more acceptable price, is meant to be excellent. 2 3
wasabijim Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 what is the world coming to? a week and no analogue purchases?!??! today from Amazon.au - it was discounted "Bernard Fanning and Paul Dempsey agreed from the outset that their debut album, THE DELUGE, under the moniker Fanning Dempsey National Park, was not going to be what people think. I rarely see much second hand vinyl these days that is reasonably priced for condition, but scored last weekend. Richard and Linda's cover was a bit knocked around but the disc in great condition. Original West German pressing for less than half the price of the re-issue I have been eyeing off. And where else would a Perth boy find a NOS original Swedish pressing of an album recorded in a Ravensthorpe woolshed by WA's greatest ever band for 10-? Zürich of course Same store in Zürich. West German pressing this time, 10- for Vinyl NM / Cover VG. 2 1
stevoz Posted October 18, 2024 Author Posted October 18, 2024 Just now via Discogs, 3 LP's from same seller (cheap + decent postage saving): Had two LP's from this seller in my Discogs cart, then saw @metal beat playing this, thought 'mmmm, might recheck this' (I have Escapade already and all the Enz albums).....and indeed, there's some excellent music on it, so added it to the other two at minimal extra cost compared to other copies. Tim Finn "Big Canoe" NM UK pressing (according to label) but German release. Thomas Dolby "The Flat Earth" NM ?Dutch 1st pressing. Various Artists "FM (The Original Movie Soundtrack)" 2 x LP NM German 1st pressing. Mainly bought it for the Steely Dan song 'FM' but there is definitely other good songs on it. 3 1

stevoz Posted October 20, 2024 Author Posted October 20, 2024 Put in an offer for this on Discogs, it was accepted. Brand new copy. The Alan Parsons Project "Eye In The Sky" Mofi Original Master Recording, Gain 2 Ultra Analog 45RPM 180g Series. If it's anywhere near as good as the equivalent 'I Robot' release, which it should be, I'll be damn happy! 4 1
