Spinspin69 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 My new analogue purchase today.... Big improvement from my previous (very capable) Rega P3... 10 2
stevoz Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 (edited) I'm finding more Discogs sellers who charge minimal shipping for added LP's on an order, making a multiple LP purchase a lot cheaper per album. Another Scandinavian seller, this time from Denmark. Judie Tzuke "Shoot The Moon" NM Swedish 1st pressing. Squeeze "Frank" NM German 1st pressing (PRS Hannover). Graham Parker "Another Grey Area" NM German 1st pressing (Teldec). 10cc "100cc Greatest Hits Of 10cc" NM UK 1st pressing (Decca). Edited March 3 by stevoz 3

Leporello Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Hi guys! First time here and I wanted to share some purchases from this weekend. I'm very lucky that I have 3 record stores in my neighborhood that I can go on foot. 1. Steely Dan - Gaucho (Brazilian 1980 pressing) Anything Steely Dan is really difficult to find here in Brazil. I found Katy Lied once in the CD section, but I had to import Aja. The sleeve is not in the best condition but the record itself sounds great. 2. Djavan - Lilás (Brazilian 1980 pressing) 3. Lô Borges - A Via Láctea (Brazilian 1985 pressing) 4. Janet Jackson - Control (Brazilian 1986 pressing) 13

From Discogs notes: "Live recording from a show held for friends at his fortieth birthday in Half Moon Bay, Ca".....he gave them a present. Discogs samples suggest a wonderful recording. Wow never seen that one before , very cool. Ive got “ the sole inhabitant” live in Chicago 2006, it’s very good 1

'Forty' was a cheaper 'live' alternative but it's worthwhile although very likely a digital recording.

stevoz Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 (edited) Just now via Discogs, REM "Document" brand new 2008 limited edition reissue, 'From The Capitol Vaults' series, US pressing (Rainbo). A great REM album. Now for a copy of 'Green' (I have 'Out Of Time' and 'Automatic for The People' on LP already) and my REM LP collection will be about done. I know they have more good albums but I reckon that will do it for me. Stuff it, 'strike while the iron is hot' I say. I just found a well priced, brand new copy of 'Green' from a local seller. REM "Green" 2017 remastered reissue, German pressing (Optimal), lacquer cut by Chris Bellman, mastered by Bob Ludwig. To me, the four albums I have of theirs are 'peak REM'. I think I'm done......but having said that, in a weaker moment I may consider 'Reveal' and maybe even 'Accelerate'. Time will tell. Edited March 7 by stevoz 2 3

It's probably my favourite album of theirs. I just completed collecting the entire studio albums over Christmas. 3
